Opportunities that agriculture offers us!

Hello and lovely greetings to all my fellow steemians across the globe, I hope you are all doing great so today am so delighted and opportune to participate in this amazing contest titled; Opportunities that agriculture offers us! organized by @edgargonzalez here in #Nature&Agriculture community.

Agriculture as stated in the contest theme can be refers to those activities which involves the cultivation of soil for the production of different crops as well as breeding and management of livestock for man use.

Agriculture has always been a good and benefiting profession right from the days of our forefathers till date such that it has always contributed and gives us the chances and opportunity of earning a living and also providing food in large quantity for our homes as well as the world and making it a happier place to live, that's to say agriculture plays a vital roles when it comes to support and growth of our different nations.

Tell us or relate what agriculture is like in your country, region or city,

Take my country for example, in my country Nigeria Agriculture has provided and offers so many opportunities to the citizens both the youths and aged ones that more than 50% of my country population earns their living through agriculture that is to say agriculture provides jobs to a greater percentage of people in my country, also it has also help in the providing market in different locations for industrial products and it has helped in strengthening the bonds between different countries and nations through the exportation of primary agricultural products, provision of raw materials, generation of government revenue, good transportation and many more that are not listed here, that is to say without agriculture most countries major the African would have been facing a lot of challenges and issues such as Poor transportation, poor market system, the use of crude implement and tools for work, lack of job and employment opportunities.

In addition to that tell us if you are dedicated to agriculture and what vegetables, fruit, legumes, tubers, etc

Also I am very proud to be a complete farmer for that matter who involves in cultivation of different crops like maize, cassava, groundnut and many more and I also partakes in rearing of different animals like pigs, goats and chickens, which I have gotten so much experience in it, like planting of crops, fertilizing crops, feeding and taking good care of animals, performing manual labour, and providing special and proper diet for my animals, and also learning more about the sustainable farming methods just like the organizer said in this contest that It is not only about dedicating yourself to sowing and harvesting but also knowing how to take care of it!

My family usually involves in subsistence farming that's cultivating is small quantity for our family alone because my dad is also a government worker who usually gets paid every month so purpose of this farming was just to reduce and minimize burden and expenses because if we depend on just the salary alone it won't be enough to afford all we need so through this farming and agriculture activities most of our needs are forgone because we gets them from the farm and sometimes we do sell some of the products when we had enough and sufficient harvest that season and still use the money to support in purchasing our needs and other valuables.

In conclusion taking part or involving yourself in agricultural and farming activities is never a bad idea rather it beneficial to you an the world as well so don't discourage by anyone that agriculture is never a good profession because of the way the world see's them today which is quite discouraging but never mind what say about it just keep up the good work I believe hard work pays and one day you shall be rewarded handsomely.
