The Hebrew civilization was the cradle for the development of the millenary culture. Initially, this name was credited to the Semitic peoples who were inhabiting the entire territory of the Arabian Peninsula, approximately more than 4000 years old. It should be noted that from the Samites arises the descendants of the Israelite and Arab peoples that we know today.

The Hebrew people developed on the banks of the Jordan River approximately 2000 years BC. All the tribes that settled in these areas, had the characteristic of being nomadic since, it came from the ancient city of Ur, specifically from Mesopotamia; territory that we know today as Iraq.

History tells us that the first Hebrews lived in tents; these were easy to install and at the same time, move if necessary. In the same way, they used to move frequently since they were always in search of water and fertile land to feed their sheep and goats. Among his traditions of ancient or oral texts, Abraham was the first patriarch to make the decision to leave Chaldea with the intention of crossing the Euphrates River.

To get an accurate idea of the time lived by the Hebrew civilization, historians explain that they did so during the year 2050 BC under the rule of Hammurabi, who was the king of Mesopotamia. In another aspect, one of Abraham's goals was to reach the territory of Canaan, not to mention God's promised land.

As far as the tribe of Abraham is concerned, it spread throughout the lands of Shechem, territory that is now the region of Nablus. Similarly, some members of this tribe also settled in Hebron and Beersheba. As a curious fact we can highlight that, the last area they covered was the narrowest strip that divides Egypt with the ancient Phoenician cities.

The Hebrew tradition explains that Abraham was the father of Isaac and Ishmael. It is essential to specify that Isaac is identified as the first ancestor of the Hebrew people and with respect to Ishmael, his descendants are known as the Arabs we know today. Isaac, for his part, had a son and his name was Jacob or failing that, some call him Israel. He had 12 sons and from them are detached the twelve tribes of Israel.

Referring to the social and political organization of Hebrew civilization we can emphasize that they were organized by patriarchal clans. Each clan was represented by a patriarch and he had the highest authority. The patriarch was accompanied by a judge and a group of elders. However, when the situation was marked by conflict, the patriarchs had to begin to delegate their power to the warlords, who were in charge of leading all the warlike actions that were carried out in the confederations of tribes.

During the fourteenth century BC, the Hebrew civilization migrated to Egypt because, a terrible drought unleashed famine. Once settled in Egyptian territory, they began to work and with the passage of time, they ended up being slaves. A century after this situation Moses freed them from slavery and from this, the Exodus that the Hebrew people lived is made known.

The departure of the Hebrews concluded in the conquest of the lands of Canaan during the thirteenth century BC. It should be noted that, after this conquest, the Hebrew civilization managed to develop more broadly in various aspects. To get an idea of it, we can analyze what happened to the 12 tribes since, they stopped identifying each other as Hebrews and adopted the identification as Israelites or failing that, Israel.

Regarding the economy of the Hebrew civilization, it depended on agriculture and trade, thus managing to market all the merchandise widely because, all the peoples were interested in the olive groves and vines that produced the agricultural fields of Egypt. With the passage of time, the Hebrews also managed to trade ivory, precious metals, wines and exotic spices.

the religion of this civilization was monotheistic and they were governed by the sacred books. Although some claim that Hebrew civilization does not currently exist, this is far from the case because, its legacy is maintained through the Jewish religion and at the same time, everything that follows from Israel.

Have a Nice Day !!!
