Lady Rikshaw Driver ! India (maharashtra )

Hello steemitians ! how are you today hope all are good , today i found some old photos which remind me of an event few years back that i would like to share

So me and my friend planned to go city side on weekend as we walked towards the road to catch the rikshaw we saw something unusual as rikshaw arrived we get inside it and what we saw is the Lady rikshaw driver . its very uncommon to see something like this , in india usually you will see men driving rikshaw .

As we entered into it me and my friend with one eyebrow high looked at each other with a question mark on our faces. What is going on? .There was weird silence for sometime , i had never seen a lady rikshaw driver in my life before so i took the advantage and took some photos to remember later and show my freinds!

The Lady rikshaw driver was very calm , her Driving skills were smooth and her swag was on different level she was wearing salwar kamiz(typical indian wear) and a sun glass. As she was driving, some other passenger on the curb waved his hand to stop the rikshaw ,as she stopped it, The guy looked at us and looked at her, the backseats were full so there was only one seat left next to the lady driver, so he was confused and surprised what to say next , before he said anything The lady driver told please seat next to me (as you can see in the photo) .The guy sat next to her with a hesitation on his face , She even allowed him to hold the bar across her back , it was a clear sign that she does not hesitate to not to do that because she was doing her job and it was ok to her if somebody is sitting next to her .

After we got down from rikshaw , I asked her can i ask you something how did you get into as a rikshaw driver ?, She smiled and said i had to earn money for my kids i did what ever i had to do and no work is small and different .

i did not get the chance to take picture with her side by side as we were in hurry . we appreciate what she was doing and said you have our respect!
