I LOVE INDIA : The Jain Adinath Temple in Ranakpur !

It is one of the most important Jain temples in India.

White marble runs through the temple, which has a total of 1444 columns.
Each of these pillars was designed differently.
They are artfully decorated with detailed animals, people, flowers, demons and ornaments.
What a beautiful handicraft!

There is also a single leaning pillar.
It was built in specifically to indicate that what is not man-made is perfect, only God himself.

The countless detailed sculptures are also overwhelming.

Janism is an old Indian religion whose members live in asceticism, non-violence (no human, animal or plant may be harmed) and as strict vegetarians.
They are forbidden from practicing a profession related to the killing of animals.
They also don't eat potatoes, carrots, or onions. When growing or harvesting, worms or beetles could be killed with the rake.
There is no electric light in the temples, only small oil lamps. Because bright light attracts insects that could be killed by it.
Pilgrims and tourists are generally allowed to enter all Jain shrines without shoes, they are not allowed to wear shorts and all items made of leather or silk must be removed beforehand.
