For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. MATTHEW 25:35-40

What a gladness of heart when we experienced such tremendous opportunity to extend our hearts especially to our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate.

I thank the Lord that in this trial times against COVID-19, still He allowed us to extend His great love and compassion for people. Last week we (church) have given an opportunity by the Lord to distribute relief goods to our brothers and sisters and to other families in our community. They are the one severely affected by the lock down because of COVID 19 Pandemic crisis.

One thing I now understand--when God commanded you to show compassion toward others He will surely sustain and provide all the necessary materials for you to accomplish His will. When we bless, a blessing is returned to us. In many, many ways, we reap what we sow, and that’s one of the reasons Peter gave this exhortation to his readers:

“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing” 1 Pet 3:9

It is indeed a joy in our hearts that even we are a small church in our communities yet God's grace abounds in us.
