Concentrate on God.
We must constantly turn our backs on the thousands of little things that attract our attention. There are many interesting and time consuming things, but they end in vain. Higher interests require special attention and energy, which are often spent on relatively minor matters.
Adopting new teachings alone does not give the soul a new life. Even familiarization with facts and teachings, which are important in themselves, is of little use if you find no application in life. We must feel that we must give our soul food that nourishes and energizes spiritual life.
Those who adored the natural sciences failed and were disappointed in their attempts to find God.
We must live what the apostle Paul wrote: “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and betrayed me. "(Galatians 2:19, 20)
Christ revealed his disciples to God in such a way that something special happened in their hearts, and this he also wants to achieve in our hearts. Many are primarily devoted to theory and have lost sight of the living power of the Savior's example. They lost sight of him as a humble and disinterested worker. They need to look at Jesus. Every day we need a new revelation of your privacy. We must follow his example of self-denial and self-sacrifice more closely.
The knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ, which is clearly reflected in our character, is above all other valuable things on earth or in heaven. This is the highest education. This is the key that opens the entrance to the heavenly city. God's intention is that all who receive Christ have this knowledge.
