THE INDISPENSABLE GOD; WE CANNOT DO WITHOUT HIM

I was once told by a teacher that the sun is important to human as the food is, that if there be no sun for a day or two, most people will die which includes plant.

From science, the human and plant life depends very much on the sun, without the sun, there would be no vegetation and all water would freeze.

This makes us to understand from scripture that Christ is our sun

MALACHI 4:2

But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. Vs. 2

The scripture therefore tells us that no human can live the Christian life without the Sun of Righteousness.

He also said in the scripture that without Him, we can do nothing.

JOHN 15:5

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. Vs. 5

Jesus Christ is indispensable to every believer in everything. He is indispensable not only to us, but even to the unbelievers.

JOHN 1:9

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. Vs. 9

Due to our busy schedules at work, school, our families and ministry, many Christians are living more and more independent of the Sun of Righteousness forgetting the fact that if we can't do anything without Christ, forgetting the fact that if we need to bear fruits, we need to depend solely on Him. No wonder we are drying up and can hardly point to fresh encounters of the God in our lives. No wonder we can't tell of the a new testimony in our lives, we still point or tell people of our past glory and past testimonies.

Nothing is showing that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world because we have detached ourselves from that place, from that branch we are meant to stick to.

The sun is a symbol of glory.

PSALMS 24:7-10

Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Vs. 7
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Vs. 8
Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Vs. 9
Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty— he is the King of glory. Vs. 10

This scripture reveals that one of the names of our God is "KING OF GLORY". The glory is so integral to His essence that it was a major part of His last conversation with the Father before He went to the cross; a kind of "to close the deal" conversation.

JOHN 17:5

And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. Vs. 5

Now the amazing thing is that as a child of God who keeps his or her relationship with God, we are partakers of that glory and that this glory will be revealed.

We can't do anything without our maker. For us to be able to bear fruits as believers, we need to stick to Him for He is the source of fruitfulness.
