Trust in the Lord and do good

There are many teachings in the scriptures, which for us, most of the time, are just words. We know the text, we even know what chapter and verses they are in. Not that we do not value them, we can even talk about it, but we do not know what they mean, it is not a real experience for us.

Trust in the Lord and do good; you will dwell on earth and be truly nourished. "(Psalm 37: 3)

In Psalm 37, there are some of these words:

"Trust in the LORD and do good; you will dwell in the earth, and you will be truly fed. Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will grant you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust him, and he He will. He will make your righteousness stand out as the light and your judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord and wait on him; do not be angry with the one who prospers in his way, for the man who executes cunning intentions. " (Psalm 37: 3-7)

All that God has done is reveal Himself to us as Almighty God, from the first day of our Christian life, so that we can know Him, and then:

Trust, surrender and rest under your shadow

"He who dwells in the hiding place of the Most High, in the shadow of the Almighty, will rest. I will say of the Lord: He is my God, my refuge, my strength, and I will trust him." He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will trust; His truth will be your shield and shield. "(Psalm 91: 1-4)

Trusting God is knowing that He is taking something for you and supporting it. Leave it in the hands of someone who can and guarantee its compliance. Having the backing of a Person who cannot lie: "So that for two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we can have firm consolation, we who take refuge in retaining the proposed hope; anchor of the soul, secure and firm, and penetrating into the veil. " (Hebrews 6: 18-19)

For trust, it is essential to know the person. As for God, no one has ever seen him.

So how can we know God to trust Him?

The only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, made him known. Jesus is what makes us know him, and that promise, He made known to the Father: "Just father, the world did not know you; but I knew you, and they knew that you sent me. And I made them known to you name, and I will make it known to you, so that the love with which you have loved me can be in them, and I can be in them. " (John 17: 25-26)

It is in the face of Christ that we know the Glory of the Father: "For God, who said that light shines from darkness, shines in our hearts, for the illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ." (2 Corinthians 4: 6)
