INVEST WISELY
Every activity you engage here on earth has it's equivalent value in heaven, you have an account, record, treasury in heaven.
The question is 'is your account in heaven receiving debit or credit alerts based on where or what you invests your life here on earth? Matt.6:19. Your account is debited or credited based on the activities you engage here on earth.
Jesus gave a very strong instruction on where/what best to pour or invest their lives on. He did not also leave without the knowledge of the consequences of investing their lives in a wrong place.
Matt.6:19 Jesus said categorically that laying up your treasures on earth is very risky in that anyone who tries it runs a risk of losing the treasure to the corruption of moth and rust, thieves also break in and steal the treasures laid here on earth.
The greatest wisdom is to with eternal in view. Living to invest on eternal treasures. Firstly, I want you to know that these treasures are not limited to money. Your time is a great treasure. What the devil wants is to engage someone to pour his life into something that has no relevance in his destiny.
He makes people to pursue money without paying attention to studying the Bible where there are treasures hidden to make one succeed in life and eternity.
Another treasure is our mind/thought and your emotion. Some people have no idea that one of the greatest gift God Gave to man is our mind . Our mind is a treasure if it can be engaged correctly to fulfill God's purpose.
One of the greatest strategies of the devil is to engage your attention in worthless things thereby wasting the energy of the mind. Your mind is your garden, Hence the Bible instructs we engage in eternal things (Col.3:2) and guard it with all diligence (Prov.4:23).
our emotional resources are powerful tools in engaging God's purpose on earth. Our emotions give our passion strength. The devil wants young people to pour their emotions into useless relationships. Another treasure is your strength.
The glory of young men is their strength. Proverbs 20:29. The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head. The enemy wants young people to waste their strength and energy engaging in sex, drug, alcoholism, prostitution and all manner of social vices.
Your ideas and knowledge is another treasure in you. I have seen a lot of smart and intelligent young men serving the world, self and the devil with their gifts. Probably they think that using it to serve God will not profit them. What a deceit!
Having looked at these treasures , I discovered from the word of God that Jesus wants us to use these treasures to glorify God thereby making it an eternal investment.
Anything given to God is not wasted ,it is invested. Any treasure that is not invested in heaven will definitely be corrupted by rust and moth of "old age ( Eccl.12:1-7) or thief of sickness or death will steal it but in Heaven, these treasures are safe and secured. What a wisdom when you invest your treasures (life, strength, time, money, beauty, knowledge,) into your eternal bank. A day of famine will definitely come upon this earth
(Ecclesiastes 11:2 Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.)
A day will come when you will come when you will want to withdraw from your heavenly account. May be someone around you needed your prayer life to be alive and you been depositing prayers, giving, obedience, study of the Word, fasting in your treasury.
How wonderful it will be!! As you lift your voice to heaven, your account will be opened and God will command one of the angels to check your account. I hope something will be in your account. Hezekiah had a serious need and He cried to Heaven and reminded heaven how rich his account was.
He deposited serving God with a perfect heart and reaped 15 more years when death was knocking.
Isaiah 38:3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight.
And Hezekiah wept sore.
38:5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer,I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
His account was fat, He made a withdrawal. Pray the prayer of David in
Psalms 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom and walk in the counsel of 👇
Ephesians 5:15
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; pour your life like the life the Alabaster box of that woman in
Mark 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his leg...
Elijah was very succinct here.. 1 Kings 17:14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.
17:15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
17:16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.Do this and the reward will shock you!
