My hands, doves

Like the feet, the hands

are poetic twins.

The feet with their footprints,

the hands with their flights.

Together they form wings,

they take flight,

looking for nests,

forms are touched.

My hands are doves that fly

into dreams with light words,

by rubbing letters that, like crystals,

break or ignite or get stuck.

With their fingernails scratch,

what shines and anchors.

Like doves, they have crossed skies,

have been injured and healed

and they're back in the detour.

Hands of caress, hands of passion, hands of forgiveness.

Hands of wheat, hands of dough, hands of love.

Hands of water hands not thirsty.

Simple hands.

Dove's hands,

the same pigeons that coo and nest,

are dying of apathy and routine

or they are shadows of wings, by time, broken.

Dove's that are woven hands,

flitting silently in search of a rainbow.

Hands that are tools of the soul,

finding hidden treasures

in the cracks pulsating.

Doves that are taken with other hands

and they constellate as if the bodies were wormholes.

Hands that write, hands that think, hands that dance,

hands that take other hands and others and others and sing.

My hands are two doves, thesauri of the wind,

winged creatures with iridescent feathers and claws,

creative synergy of elements not connected at first sight,

intertwined in a perfect imperfection, like me

living in fantasy worlds as real as you.
