RE: STEEM SUCKERS!

in ART LOVERS5 years ago

So much emotion, perspective and great advice in one post!

I like how things tend to settle out here on STEEM. A thousand tokens popped up on steemengine to fragment the community and get everyone chasing the shinies into every corner. Now, the garbage (or undeveloped concepts) have shown themselves and have no value.

The people not knowing they are simply spamming the blockchain with duplicate content will find out. The people that know this will get called out and lose support.

It is a great topic and one the caretakers of the blockchain (us.....the active and dedicated users) will take to heart as we lead by example.

There are going to be some flames under this post but I look forward to the discussion as we progress!

Thank you @zekepickleman - I appreciate the positive feedback. No doubt this will probably ruffle some feathers, but at the end of the day, as one of the many "small community leaders", I feel quite strongly about it... but yes, we will have to steer things to the best of our ability to generate the most positive results we can.

A lot of the hubbaballoo about HF21 was about the need to reduce un-earned votes and rewards. I wonder if the rush to mass produce poor quality posts would be reduced if the 5% reward to communities was removed. I really do wonder that. There would then not be that extra reward for those big-votes from those few community-controlled accounts.
