MY STEEM STORY

A Power House Creatives Initiative

Power House Creatives _night mode.png

Everyone has a story – and all our stories have something in common… we all started from nothing and knew nothing. People want to hear stories. They want to hear OUR stories — they want to know who we are, where we are from, what we are doing, who and what we love, what we have learnt and where we are going. People also want us to hear their story! Being a part of the Steem network is an individual journey for every single one of us and through this initiative we will share our stories not only with all who are already here – hopefully inspiring, guiding and informing them… but doing the same for everyone else in the world too. Through our stories we will prick the curiosity of those who have not yet arrived and illuminate and widen the already open doors to our one in a million blockchain.

We invite and encourage each and every one of you to participate and share your stories too! You can find the "how to" details at the end of this post.

MY STEEM STORY - BY @SPELLMAKER

The Start
Starting something is hard, maybe even harder than being consistent with it and showing up every day. We have doubts, disbeliefs and experiences that impact the way we live our lives. I was the same at the beginning. I didn’t believe it’s in me to create unique and quality content and if I have to look back now – I was right. At the start I was only learning, and I was doing it by practice. For me – it’s the best way to learn something, by simply doing it. So one sunny morning, @spellmaker was born and I joined this wonderful place.

The Learning
After the start comes the process of learning and the best way to learn something is by doing it, just as I mentioned above. As kids, we all learned to walk by falling many times before. Same goes with writing, reading and other skills we have, only we didn’t literally fall while learning to read but it’s still similar – you have to fail in order to learn and become better.
There were challenges, starting from formatting a post to finding the right tags for your post. Tags are really important, especially at the start when you have no followers. It’s the best way to gain exposure to your posts and maybe even gain followers and fans.

Love
I came here for cryptos but stayed because I fell in love with the platform. My feed on Steemit is much more interesting than any other social media where there are only some viral videos and media propaganda.
I love that there’s no censorship here – we can post and talk about anything we want without getting fined or banned. With platforms like 3Speak and Dtube getting more exposure – the process of decentralization is happening faster than ever and I simply love it.

The Tip
My tip for becoming successful on this platform is consistency. Show up here every day and use the free time you have to either encourage someone or create a post yourself. When you’re consistent, success will come your way. You can’t make one post a month and hope for a breakthrough. It’s the same as in real life – practice makes perfect.
They also say that nobody’s perfect. So it turns out that practice makes nobody. That’s right – practice makes nobody into somebody! You’ll find your real voice when you try many times. You’ll get feedback from others and it will help you improve!

The Family
I found them here, my second family. They’re called #thepowerhousecreatives and they’re great. Or should I say – we are great! Our community is friendly, helpful and inspiring. We create contests, inspire each other and help each other grow. We’re there for each other whenever it’s needed.
@jaynie - our admin and the most important family member is an inspiration to us because of the work she's done and keeps doing!

The Extra
This is the reason why I'm here. To expose the power of words. If you're reading this right now - it means you're not working on your projects. Maybe this is a good read or maybe you're just going through posts without a real goal in your mind, to simply pass time.
Don't put these things off for later. If you have something on your mind - start doing it now because now is the only moment you'll ever have. Today is the only day there is. Yesterday has gone and tomorrow will never come. As you wake up in the morning, it's today and it's now. What you do daily results in a life you have.

The End
@spellmaker was born because of Steemit. It's an alter-ego who's obsessed with words and their meanings. @spellmaker also loves writing poetry and rhymes because of the flow and the sound in his mind. I don't know the future of #steem but if speaking about me - I'm not going anywhere. On the blockchain, I will remain!

Peace, Love, Gratitude!
