Wednesdaywalk in the Sky!
We had wind speeds of 250kmh inland this week!
Serious damages were caused as for instance the winds ripped into a huge farm shed, lifting it complete with its supporting beams and concrete foundations to scatter the steel sheets over a wide area. We started the day with rain and high winds that twisted and twirled the clouds into beautiful formations.
This post is also meant for #wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay
The mountains on the east side had flowing designs of clouds covering them!
Here we go with some beautiful colors and shapes!
This is another mountain at the northern side!
Watch how the winds stream through the clouds!
The sun occasionally made an appearance!
Finally, the last of the blue shots here!
Here we move to later in the afternoon and the skies were slowly turning to a darker color!
Seagulls merely had to open their wings for the wind to lift them!
Ever darker skies and the sun almost blinked through them!
To end the post, I have placed a closer look at the sun halo here that can also be seen in the first photo.
And That's All Folks!

Wow! That’s a mighty strong wind, Sir Stephen. It would easily blow a thin person away. I hope you have some meat on your bones.
There’s that halo again foretelling unpleasant weather. 💨
Blessings!
Hahaha, I am so thin Lady Jo that the wind feels sorry for me and pass me by hahaha.
Storms are about all over the country and one simply cannot believe that some areas are suffering their worse droughts in history. Funny weather indeed!
Blessings!

250 kilometers an hour winds - that would blow you right away! Were you out in it or were these pictures taken when the wind died down a bit?
Fascinating sky, especially with the ring around the sun!
Thanks for sharing!
No, I was not in that wind my friend as it was far away inland, but it all starts from here at the "Cape of Storms".
That sun halo always fascinates me.
Blessings!

Wow, those are some nasty winds! Hope no one was seriously injured or killed by them. Your sky photos are very nice and I especially like the one withe the purplish hue making a star. Awesome!
Thank you and fortunately no one was killed.
Glad that you liked the photos my friend.
Blessings!
Halo around the sun always spectacular sighting, what is interesting are the columns of updraft pulling into the cumulus clouds another great day with the camera Stephen.
Thank you Lady Joan, I love to watch the wind in the clouds and also how the birds negotiate the winds. Some fly at roof height and others fly at dizzying heights. Of course the crows and the swallows are the only ones that play in the winds. Glad that you liked the post.
Blessings!
Btw. New beautiful visitors arrived in the garden today and I will post about them tomorrow!
