When Our Worlds Collide - Sublime Beautiful Sunday
Sublime Beautiful Sunday
From my Warm Daily Hot Spot
Sunbathing time, keeping warm through the window, Gecko has wedged into his favorite daily spot to warm up his bones somewhat, a night predator of insects he can stick to windows, walls, well just about anything.
Approximately 9 cm from tip to tail
When we first arrived to live in Durban one had to adjust and to living with these guys, apparently came in hitching a lift on wood trucks from up North, thriving in the humid climate they have become continuous companions around the home. Not indigenous to our region this tropical house gecko species is out-competing our natural nocturnal geckos.
From my Hide a Snail Trail
African land snail (Achatina fulica) is large you cannot miss him ambling across the lawn, snails pace it may be but along the way will find plant material, fruit and vegetable to eat.
Approximately 10 cm from tip to tail
Another resident that is not local, originating further North on East Coast of Africa in Kenya and Tanzania have been found literally around the world, now how did they do that without a passport, cannot fly and that slow speed, well they got there perhaps determination!
Busy as a Bee
Hovering over the curry tree in flower this little bee is doing what it does best, pollinating it moves along the flowers all over this tree. Oh the bee is indigenous but not the curry tree (Murraya koenigii or Bergera koenigii), they apparently originated in Sri Lanka, tasty leaves for spicing up life on a regular basis.
Sublime Sunday
Colours In Nature
Around every corner different shades greet you, the red Canna with seed pods adjacent to the flower or orange to flatter a dull day, these tall long stemmed beauties will flower now through summer in the autumn months.
One Day Only
This yellow cactus flower is short lived, only one day in full flower, not one I am familiar with so I will keep it in a pot to find out more, if it is an invasive cactus and not indigenous it will have to go since some plants in humid climates tend to take over. I have many indigenous cactus and succulents around the garden to share in the future.
Thank you @ace108 for running the Beautiful Sunday tag every week and @c0ff33a for the Sublime Sunday.

Looks like easy to find food the Mr Lizard.
It needs to lose some weight?
Mr Lizard is plump, plenty of insects out, enjoys his sunbathing spot every day in this window.
Interestingly, I just found out why.
Yup warm up during the day to hunt at night, at least they eat mosquitoes!
Great stuff here Lady Joan and you know that I am going to say that I love that yellow cactus flower. It looks like it also belongs to the Euphobia family.
Does it have a round spiky base?
Blessings!
Flat disk shape growth, more like the prickly pear source, exception in very long spikes about 3-4 cm long, unlike the ones I was familiar with growing up that had bristles more than thorns.
Definitely not our indigenous round shaped base which I have in the garden.
Definitely a sublime sunday! Love the animals in nature, particularly the little bee.
Animals in every nook and cranny, thanks for visiting and have an awesome new week.
Beautiful flowers photography but you mention truthfully our worlds collide.
Everything out and about with the heat at this time of the year @kamrunnahar thanks for visiting.

Such gorgeous shots those cacti flowers that bloom for just one day are short lived but so beautiful
They are very delicate, my brother has one that only blooms at night also spectacular.
That must be so cool to see also
Truly a sublime Sunday, must say my favourite is the flaming skies! The Geckos are very active at the moment but get startled so often and startle us as well;) Very wise proverb that and one I need to heed!

Skinks in the day and Geckos at night keeping insects at bay, some lovely sunsets when clouds are overhead. Not enjoying the heat and humidity I must be honest....
