How lovely! You did such a nice job of blending your reality and dream worlds, and in the end you would only change things that make life better, not that would affect the family you have now. That really resonates with me. I truly understand that if I change any variables of the past, they could affect the present. And I don't want one thing about my special family to change!

This is such a good exercise for that reason. We can wish for more/different/better, but when we stop and assess what we have and realize how precious it is, then we can let go of sadness and regrets about the past! Each life is unique - with all of its troubles, and its ups and downs. And others don't necessarily have something better! So we have to make sure we don't fall prey to those beautiful commercials with the families strolling together in beautiful clothing along the beach, the wind in their hair, and happiness on their faces.
