For those of you who missed the blog, I bought a 10 mm lensball and i am trying to get the photography with the ball down to a skill that showable in a blog. Make sense? I took it to photograph two orchids that fell from mine in the living room. I wanted a white underground so i photographed on our dinner table.

The Orchid is the most famous ornamental flower and very much loved in the Netherlands. This beautiful houseplant is known for its impressive flower and color diversity. I have most white but i had also this pink tiger orchid. The Orchid is originally from Southeast Asia and Australia. But when you look in magazines its the most used floer to decorate elegant. And the flowers on this plant are so beautiful. In the Netherlands is the most famous and popular species, the Orchid Phalaenopsis. This is due to its long and frequent flowering and on one plant there are most .

When the plant drops its buds it is the result of too much cold and water, the lack of light. when its volder than 15 ° C, the roots are no longer active, causing the plant to drop its buds. Too much sunlight causes the leaf to burn and the shine to disappear. Dark green leaves are a sign that the Orchid has a lack of light. I guess i gave to much water, i thought its warner inside Because its winter but that is wrong. My fault!

The majority of Orchid varieties flower once a year at most. This flowering lasts approximately 6 to 10 weeks. The exception to this is the Phalaenopsis Orchid. This variant can flower up to 3 times a year, a flowering time between 2 and 6 months. For this reason, the Phalaenopsis Orchid and the Netherlands are very popular. After flowering, place the Orchid in a colder place. Do this for about 3 to 4 weeks. In this way the plant can easily create a new branch. I done it very many times and this gave new knops after a while.

The photography with the lensball is a project i will be going to have more fun with and learning every time, i hope you like either the ball or the orchids, have a great day !

These flowers are beautiful, well photographed with your new lens, I put my orchids in trees in the garden never tried the exotic indoor ones.

What I have learned is to place them in a tray on pebbles with water, this way they don't get too much water, it also creates humidity around the plant which they enjoy @brittandjosie

I did but i think the warmth was the reason but i am keeping it and replacing it to the other side of the room and see if it will grow flowers again, keep you posted as we on steemit say , thanks Joan have a great weekend

Don't know much about flowers and I enjoyed reading your share about orchids. Seems like a delicate plant in regards to watering and sunlight.

The orchids are beautiful!
I love that capture of the full flower in the lens ball with the strips in it's leaves radiating out - great effect!
Looking forward to seeing more of you shots with the lens ball, gives me ideas to to try on mine!
That was a lot of great info about orchids but as much as I love them my house is not conducive to growing orchids at all!
