Street Art: Interactive urban art. Graffiti taken to another level

What began as pints of letters on the walls where "vandals" clandestinely signed the city walls with their name or pseudonym, has given way, over time, to an artistic expression that despite continuing with one foot in illegality, has another increasingly anchored in art that enjoys social recognition, and as proof we have Bansky.

Whether as a vehicle of protest, as in its origins, or as a mere artistic expression, urban art has long ceased to be just graffiti. Stencils, applications (prints glued to the wall), and even light, have become part of the palette of options for those who choose this type of expression.

Either as ephemeral art or as something thought to survive time, urban art is here to stay, and was an important part of the landscape of cities in the second half of the 20th century and will be even more so in the 21st century.

One of the most interesting expressions of urban art is what is known as _'interactive urban art'_, and not because one can necessarily interact with it, which in fact is sometimes so, but because it interacts with its environment, with the wall that allows it to exist, with the sidewalk on which it lies, with the tree, door, window, etc., that it has next to, above or below, in summary with the urban environment, and the elements that compose it, in general .

Banksy uses this resource sometimes in a fun, mocking way, and sometimes to put our contradictions, inconsistencies and truths into evidence, but he is not the only one, many artists around the world are part of this trend.

I leave you below a small sample of interactive urban art examples… one never knows, perhaps your inner child, upon seeing them, is encouraged to grab a spray can to paint that wall that every time you pass by him whispers: “pssst , pssst, come play with me… paint me ”.
