In my point of view, originality is our own natural instinct. We all have different ways of thinking and how we approach to do a certain thing. However, then we have obstacles of what others might think about our way. There we tend to kill our originality just to make someone happy or seek their approval to go ahead with our idea. I believe this is why most creators isolate themselves from society.
It is true, originality is usually limited when we see ourselves in the need or obligation to comply with some guidelines, that is not convenient at all.
