Hi, steemians,
For the first time, the engagement challenge has been extended and allowed to take place for a month and a few weeks. It is indeed a pleasure on my part to be among those participating in this wonderful program once again.
For the first time, the engagement challenge has been extended and allowed to take place for a month and a few weeks. It is indeed a pleasure on my part to be among those participating in this wonderful program once again.
This week like every other week we have yet another wonderful contest topic titled "The interview, where the protagonist is me", I will be attempting the questions given below as a sign of my participation in this wonderful contest. Let's get started.
1.- How did you get to Steemit, what motivated you to stay?
As of November 2019, I was still in school and things were quite difficult for me luckily, the universities at that period went on strike and that made me live the school and go back home. Before I went back home, I was already talking with a very good friend of mine @josepha who already introduced me to Operamini Hub.
I was writing articles on the opera news hub but the pay was nothing to write home about. @josepha told me that there is another blogging platform but I will need to be present for him to explain it to me. I hurriedly came back home and then the next day which is the 9th day of November 2019, I created an account.
I started by writing a few articles and I was sent a message that I need to do my achievement 1 task first before any other thing. I did as instructed and then I worked through the entire achievement task and completed it all. What motivated me to stay on the platform was the knowledge and the relationship I started gaining from the platform.
Initially, I came to the platform because I heard it helps people to make money but after a few months on the platform, I learnt a lot about cryptocurrency because it was during that period that the crypto academy started. I was able to build my knowledge of cryptocurrency and I also was able to present a seminar about crypto when my school finally resumed. So the knowledge and relationship are what motivated me to stay.
2.- How has it been sailing in the Steemit Ocean? Are you already a dolphin? If your answer is yes, tell us how you did it; If your answer is no, we would like to know how you are working to achieve it?
In every aspect of life, it is not always rosy. The pasture is not always greenish on the other side. What I'm saying, in essence, is that the journey sometimes gets tiring but we always have people who motivate us to continue or we have some targets or standards that we have set to keep us moving.
We are all aware of the familiar saying votes are not guaranteed. This is one big reason why most steemians who are not passionate about writing, who are only after the money leave the platform when support stops coming to them.
In general, the sailing on steemit has been favourable to me because aside from the support I get from the chief curators, I have been able to build relationships with steemians all over the world and they always encourage and support me with votes and comments.
As of the time of writing this article, I'm already 4x dolphins and my target is to get to 5x dolphins before the end of 2022. My journey on steemit as I have said earlier started on the 9th of November 2019 and on the 9th of November 2022, I will be two years old on the platform. What I did to achieve the dolphin level was just hard work and consistency. I always try to post at least 1 article daily and I try to set my post to 100% power up and I don't power down.
3.- Do you think that being a Dolphin gives you an additional benefit?
Yes being a dolphin gives me much more benefits. Aside from the curation rewards I earn from voting on other people's posts, another major benefit is that you can apply for anything within the steemit platform such as the curation team, being a MOD or any key position that is made available by the steemit team.
We are all aware that many requirements are taken into consideration before any appointment can be given to you on the platform and for that reason, those who have not worked their way to at least dolphin find it difficult to get this position and this is done to encourage steemians to always power up their asset and help the steem price to grow.
4.- How did you celebrate or do you plan to celebrate each dolphin you achieve?
Dolphin celebration is what always gives me more joy than ever. I celebrated my 4x dolphin about a month ago and all I did was share a few recharge cards with my friends who asked for something as they congratulated me. Though I have resolved to always celebrate it from now henceforth in a different grand style and that is by organising a contest and giving a very big reward to those who win the contest.
This initiative came to me because most people congratulate me on this platform and it will be a pleasure if I give them something in return. So my next dolphin celebration, I will organise a contest with at least 40 SP rewards and then distribute them to all winners and also ensure that those that participate in the contest get something no matter how little it may be.
5.- What opinions do you have of Power Down?
Power down is never an option and should not be associated with steemians who are willing to continue their journey. Since I joined the steemit platform, I have never initiated a power down on my account and that is the reason I have gone this far. I have to build my steem power within the very short possible time and I always try as much as I can to encourage other users to do the same.
Aside from the curation reward you earn when you have lots of steem power, you also continue getting good support from the curators because you are also helping to grow the steem ecosystem by holding the steem token as steem power.
Steemit platform is the best place anyone can ever dream of. I'm delighted to say that I have gained a lot from this very platform. It has helped me in my studies and research because I have learnt to use different tools all from this very platform. I always tell newbies that they should not come into the platform because they want to make money but they should come because they want to get good knowledge. I want to invite @msharif, @ngoenyi and @lavanyalakshman to join the contest.
Thank you, friend!

The weight is reduced because of the lack of Voting Power. If you vote for me as a witness, you can get my little vote.
Your interview session was interesting. I enjoyed reading . I can't wait to celebrate with you when you get to your next dolphin
Thanks for stopping bye, your comment is highly appreciated.
Indeed, among all the people that i have introduced to Steemit, you stand out as the best among them. Do you know why? It is because you are hardworking, dedicated, and you do coach others to grow which I love about you.
Indeed, we really went through some stress while writing with Opera News Bro. You just remind me of old memories. Although the lessons we learned then are still helpful today, We never thought we would ever blog, but today we are doing it with love and passion. Keep steeming forward, bro, for the sky is the limit. More wins and more grace Thank you for inviting me.
Thanks for always encouraging me to push on my friend.
