"SEC S11W2: Give Your Garment an Original Touch".

Hi my friend how are you?.
Hope you are all well. I'm fine too. So today, SEC S11W2 is ready to participate in another wonderful challenge organized by this community. The title of this challenge is "Give Your Garment an Original Touch" which is a great competition. Ready to share my participation by participating in this wonderful challenge today. First of all, I would like to thank the Colombia-Original community for organizing this wonderful challenge.

So, according to the topic of today's challenge, I thought of reusing the old clothes at home. I thought of making a denim skirt using an old pair of jeans I have at home. It was quite a challenge. But one of my favorite clothes is the denim skirt. I got ideas to make different designs out of clothes but one of my favorites was the denim skirt, so my old clothes can be reused. I used few ingredients and easy steps to make this. Along with this competition, I am reusing my old clothes instead of throwing them in the trash. So today I start my participation.

Making process 👇🏾

🔹 Step 01

• First I bought an old pair of jeans. I chose this pair of pants to reuse because it was a pair of pants that I couldn't pull off. After that I untied the part on the bottom bar. The threads in it were untied to the lower part.

🔹 Step 02

• After unwrapping it I was ready to measure the size I needed. These are my old pants, so the size has changed. But I brought it to the required size and cut the lower parts as per the picture. The part was cut in such a way that it could be re-stitched.

🔹 Step 03

• I was ready to cut the rest of the fabric that was cut from the bottom of the pants. I cut about two pieces of fabric so that they are two small pieces. I want to use them for the middle part of the denim skirt I am creating.

🔹 Step 04

• I made the denim skirt that I was creating to the size I wanted, then turned the denim skirt the other way and sewed it by placing the two previously cut denim pieces like this. In the same way, the back part was also ready to be sewn.

🔹 Step 05

• Finally, I sewed several parts of the denim skirt I made and then folded the bottom hem and sewed it. I designed it in such a way that it cannot be undone. So in this way it was possible to finish the creation of the denim skirt.

Conclusion

This is my participation in this great competition. I hope you all will like my presentation. Because now I use the denim skirt that I recreated from my old clothes.
