Steemit Engagement Challenge Season5 Week2 : My medical experiences
I do not have many medical issues or problems, but I can recall when I was severely ill when I had to calm down and read it under the header that speaks about it. So yeah, this is my second steemit engagement challenge post for this week, and I am happy to share a bit of myself with the steemit community. The post will be written in line with the questions asked under each header of the post.
I look like a hard guy when you come across me, but I have a phobia for some medical equipment like string. It is not that I shake or am always scared when I want to get injected with the string, but because I have seen the lasting damage wrong insertion of string could cause.
So the main reason why I am scared of Syring is that it made paralyzed the leg of a lady in my neighbourhood. She was ill and needed to talk an injection to relieve her pain. As she was being injected, she was shaking, and in the process, the syringe broke, and she had to be operated on before she could even walk. Unfortunately, her left leg was paralyzed, which changed how she moved and walked.
Well, the orthopaedic surgeon I am most afraid of is the medical specialist. This is the medical practitioners that focus on bones, joints and muscles related conditions. I have seen them work as they have a centre around my neighbourhood and I must say that the specialist is good at their Job.
I am afraid of Orthopedic surgeons because I see them as being cold-hearted because regardless of what pain you are going through, they will not let you go until they finish working on the part of your body that has issues. When one came over like 2 years ago to help my mum massage her back which was aching her, My mum was screaming, but the Orthopedic specialist continued with his message. After he was done, he told her to rest before he took his leave.
My mum's back improved after the massage, but the Coldness in the Orthopedic eyes as my mum screams still scares me to this day.
Yes, there are a lot of funny medical experiences that I have experienced in my lifetime, but the one that tops it all when this grown man of around 30 to 40 crying at the sight of a Syring. it was so funny that even I was so ill laugh and laughed, and even thinking about it makes me laugh.
You need to see how this grown-ass man begged not to be injected. It took the intervention of three heavily strong men to hold him down before the Nurse could inject him with a Syring. He also cried, lol, but after the syringe went and left the body, he suddenly became calm, as if nothing had happened. lol. Strange time uhn.
Yes, I experienced one when I was young, and I thank God I came out of it well, although the damage has been done. So when I was very young, My mum was hosting this Muslim program in our house compound at night (They call it molud), and many people came around.
Being the stubborn child I was when younger, I was playing and running in the passage of our house, and mum cautioned me, but I didn't listen. Then when the light was interrupted, I ran into another kid, but I was not in luck. My eyes hit the other kid's head; that was how I was partially blind for over three weeks.
I had to stay out of school as I could not see, and I could not even eat as I was in severe pain and had a constant headache. Although one eye was affected during the crash, that affected the other eyes in a way and I just close my eyes during the entire day for days.
I spent most of my days in the hospital and took lots of injections. The blackout for weeks was so traumatizing that even after I got better, I was always scared to open my eyes as I believed I would feel a sharp pain that hindered me from opening my eyes for weeks.
I had an accident earlier this year, leaving a scar on my face. I am unsure if it will ever leave, but I am grateful that I can still see with my two eyes. So this accident happened one night as I was on my way to see my favourite team (Chelsea) play. The Motorcyclist was running at top speed, and I didn't see him coming. Before I knew what was happening, I saw blood all over my clothes. The Blood was gushing out from my face just directly below my eyes.
I visited the nearest pharmacy for treatment, and I was afraid that the injury might need stitches, but thankfully, that option was used. I carried my scar with pride, happy that I could still see despite the accident.
PS: The bike man zoomed off after hitting me; he didn't even wait to check if I survived. The picture above was taken after the accident. It was a deep cut.
Calling on the following people to join the contest:
Hola @lebey1, gracias a Dios solo pasaste 3 meses sin ver y no toda la vida, me imagino tu preocupación de poder verte la vida y el dolor que pasaste, también el accidente que sufriste no ocurrió nada grave.

The fear of needles is normal, I also know the case of someone who was walking badly because of the bad placement of an injection, this is delicate.
Orthopedists and traumatologists are somewhat raw in their work, it is to be understood since if they initiate a procedure they must complete it.

Sorry for the injury you got to your eye. Although no matter how we tend to be afraid of medical practitioners like the one you mentioned, orthopedic surgeons will still run to them when the need arises. Best of luck to you.
Regarding the orthopedic, you are right and thanks for checking on my eyes
