Steemit Engagement Challenge Season5 Week2: My Medical Experiences

Namaste 🙏 to all of you. My name is Lavanys. I am a housewife from India.

This is my entry post for the on-going contest regarding My Medical Experience conducted by the #Colombia-Original community.

This contest is about our medical experience. In my opinion, in our daily life, we take treatment at least 4 to 5 times a year .

No one is healthy. All are suffering from at least 1 or 2 diseases. There are very very few people who still don't visit a doctor in their life. However, we can count them with our fingers.

In today's post, I'll tell you about my experience.

In my childhood, up to my 6th standard, I had a fear of seeing syringes.

During my school years, our government held medical camps twice a year and provided children with the necessary vaccines.

So our school management announced the date for this campaign. On that day, I didn't go to school due to fear of syringes. If I go , I jump from one class to the other class to escape from these syringes.

But, to my Badluck, I always catch by them, so they finally give me an injection by holding my hands and legs.

I still have that fear from my childhood. After growing up, it became a regular part of my life. Due to my health issues,sometimes I take my injections by myself.

Yes,I am afraid of some medical specialists, principally by seeing Dentists.

The medical specialists that I am the most afraid of are the dentists. A dentist is an individual who possesses knowledge and skills to diagnose diseases and provide remedies for ailments of the teeth, gums, mouth, and associated tissues.

I know their duty , but their medical equipment is very different from other specialists. I'm scared just looking at that equipment because it's long and sharp, also in different shapes. They need those for cleaning or removing unwanted teeth.

I have personal experience with them. Due to my toothache, I removed my teeth. On that day, I was scared a lot. By giving anaesthesia, they are removed very easily, but then after pain, God knows. Still, I remember those days.

From that day onwards, whenever I saw any dentist in my life,I got anxious.

I have a lot of experience regarding it in my life.

My baby's delivery day is the most uncomfortable, funny, and painful incident in my life.

Due to complications, doctors suggest joining a hospital 15 days before delivery date., but I am getting little pains already.

So they admitted me due to the little pain itself. I go with my mom, dad, and hubby. They issue injunctions to relieve the pain. My pains also started slowly, but those were not delivery pains. That's why I stay up to 2 days for these needs.

I am enjoying that atmosphere without knowing it, but my parents and husband are eagerly watching my room for what baby I have to deliver. But I don't get labour pains, so doctors advise me to walk around the neighborhood.

By taking permission from the staff, I went to meet my parents. They were shocked on seeing me there. Because they don't know what's going on inside,they start asking a lot of questions.

Finally, I reveal the truth regarding my pains and the doctor's suggestions. They get relaxed. But I get a lot of fun from seeing those shocked faces.

But I suffer a lot due to these delivery pains through the night because those come and go. A very strange experience for me.

But there are a lot of other patients joining for parturition needs and they are shouting loudly with no control over their pains. However, doctors are well known for distinguishing between true and false pain.

So they don't care about their shootings; they are simply doing their work.

Handling those situations is both a fun and painful experience for me.

By striking hard, I finally gave normal delivery to my baby girl. All of my sorrows transform into the happiest moments of my life in a matter of seconds. Still, I am shocked at how those pains go away in a second, just like magic.

Then afterward, I don't face any difficult situations in my journey.

No, I don't have any experience regarding medical trauma in my childhood.

I grew up in a village, so we have a healthy lifestyle with good food habits. I also go to school by bicycle, so I have had regular exercise since I was a child.

So I dont have any medical trauma in my childhood.

No, I don't have any of those experiences. These are not life-threatening.Those are only regular illnesses like fever, toothaches, and stomach pain , which I only have.

But I am very knowledgeable about it. My close relative was admitted to a hospital due to Carona. But within 2 days, it became a very serious issue with him. But by God's grace, he escaped from this dangerous situation with the doctor's help. But he goes at the final stage. On those days how we struggle , we only know.

He has small kids. If he gets anything, who is responsible? Their financial status is also not that great. Finally, with government officials' help, we were able to give him good treatment. So he recovers very quickly.

After returning to home, he gave an interview on local channels regarding his struggle when he was taking treatment and the government and doctors' support.

How much support they give also needs strong mental health to lead those situations.

Still, I remember those days with my eyes. When I think about it, unknowingly, I get tears in my eyes.

Like those medical experiences I've had in my journey.
