Introduction

The value of life is the overall appearance of oneself, attitudes, words, and all human actions according to conditions. The value of human life is greatly influenced by inputs from outside since childhood. The value of one's life will continue to experience the process as time goes by. The life that we live not only has evil and good that cannot be separated. Every bad deed will be punished and good deed will be rewarded. Currently, almost all over the world, the death penalty is still in effect, which is the most severe punishment that must be faced.

Punishment is a form of procedure or action given to an individual or group because they have committed a mistake, violation or crime in the context of fostering and improving behavior so that it does not recur in the future. Of course this punishment aims to create conditions for an orderly, safe, and comfortable community environment. Punishments will apply to all people of an area or region who commit violations, so that the applicable laws must be obeyed by everyone.

What do you think about the death penalty, do you agree or disagree? Why?

In my beloved country, Indonesia, the law still applies without knowing the boundaries of space and time. This means that the law will apply to all people who commit violations. Although we often see that the law is still easy to be traded for those who have power. So that the law often sided with the weak small community. One type of punishment that applies in our beloved country, Indonesia is the death penalty.

The death penalty is a practice carried out by a country or region to kill someone as punishment for serious crimes that have been committed. The death penalty has existed since ancient times and is still valid in several countries around the world, including Indonesia. Talking about the death penalty, personally I agree that the death penalty is implemented by the State of Indonesia.

However, the death penalty imposed in Indonesia is limited to serious offenses, such as drug cases, premeditated murder, terrorism and other serious offences. By imposing the death penalty, it will provide a sense of justice for serious cases that can harm the general public either directly or indirectly. Even though the death penalty has its pros and cons in society, it must be implemented in order to have a deterrent effect for the perpetrators and become an example for other people not to commit these crimes.

Is this type of penalty part of the law in your country? Do you think it should be implemented?

The death penalty is indeed a part of the law applied in my country, Indonesia. I think this punishment should be implemented despite the protests from various parties. But there are positive things with the application of the death penalty because it will be a lesson for others. Especially in my country where the majority of people adhere to Islam. In Islam, the death penalty is also applied for certain cases or offenses, such as murder. The death penalty will feel fair and effective if the government is transparent in upholding justice for serious cases.

Do you know any particular case of death penalty in your country or any other country? Can you share it?

Each country that implements the death penalty certainly has different and more humane rules. Indonesia has implemented the death penalty several times after being sentenced by a court and has been declared a suspect in violations. The last death penalty case that occurred in Indonesia was the death sentence handed down by a court against a member of the police who was proven guilty of premeditated murder of his own subordinate, namely Ferdi Sambo.

So the death penalty is a punishment imposed in Indonesia based on serious violations, this is in accordance with the legal basis that applies in the Criminal Code. Thank you and hopefully useful for steemit friends wherever they are.

I also invite friends @msharif, @lavanyalakshman, @patjewell, @ubongufot, @adeljose, @irawandedy, @f2i5, @alejos7ven, @harferri, @reinamia, @ripon0630, @suboohi, @nahela, @simonnwigwe, and others to participate in this contest.

Thank you @fadlymatch for your nice content presentation. Death penalty in some countries still persists while others abolished theirs due to deliberations. However, I feel this is a firm way of driving sanity and an ideal way to instill caution on issues pertaining to murder. We do not need to take lives because of any reason whatsoever. Thanks for sharing and best of luck

In the old days people were afraid to go to jail.
These days it is no longer feared. It is a ticket to a free bed, free education, and having a royal.
I do think that if people would start being scared of a jail the death penalty would no longer be required.
Thanks for the invite! I’ve dropped my post :-)
