SEC S11W5: Climate changes in the world

in Colombia-Originallast year
Thank you for bringing this topic as the theme of your SEC S11W5 . In fact I have been writing on climate changes affect for a long time and seeing it getting complicated by every passing year. This year it's the worst in our country. We all want to know how much each of us coping with this situation, so here is my point of view. I will cover the point as per your questions.

→Do you think that global warming is influencing the frequency with which natural phenomena are occurring?

First, let's talk about global warming which is an increase in Earth's average temperature due to greenhouse gases emitted from vehicles, factories, and many other sources. Instead of reducing the heat, these dangerous gases get mixed in the earth's atmosphere, which increases the temperature.

As a result of changes and warming, the climate on earth is getting warmer and it is having a negative effect on the environment. I will try to give you my point of view on the consequences of global warming as follows:

And when Earth'surface temperature increases, air pollution is also increasing. This is because the increase in temperature increases the level of ozone gas in the Earth's atmosphere, which is produced when carbon gases react with the heat of sunlight. The increasing level of air pollution has given rise to many health-related problems. In particular, there has been a significant increase in cases of breathing problems and lung infections.

As global warming increases, the glaciers are melting as a result of which the ocean water is getting warmer day by day. Due to both of these, the level of water in the sea has increased. Due to this, with the increase in temperature in the coming time, the level of seawater is expected to increase further.

This is a great cause of concern because it will lead to flood situations in coastal and low-lying areas which will be a major issue for human life. Apart from this, the water of the ocean has also become acidic due to which aquatic life is in danger.

Severe changes are taking place in the weather of many places just because we are not working on global warming as per the pacts. Many places are witnessing frequent heavy rains and floods while some areas are facing extreme drought. Global warming has not only affected the lives of the people but has also reduced the fertile power of the land in many areas. Because of this, agricultural land has been adversely affected.

→Has your country been affected by global warming? Can you give us an example of how it affects the country and you.

A large part of the north of our country falls in the Himalayan regions, where incidents of flash floods and landslides are increasing due to heavy rains. Torrential rains and reckless construction are two important reasons that cause natural disasters in the Himalayan regions. But the unusual increase in rainfall in the area has made this area more dangerous.

We witnessed some of the worst natural disaster in the current month of August, a number of people died in one of our Himalayan states, Himachal Pradesh, and still dying due to heavy rains and landslides caused by cloudbursts. Many buildings, roads and railway tracks have been destroyed.

This change has made the mountains more dangerous, as the rising temperature is not only causing rain but also hastening the melting of snow. Rainwater also loosens the soil, resulting in increased incidences of landslides, rock falls, and floods.

We all know global warming has disturbed the zero-degree isotherm, the freezing point at which snow falls, has gone up compared to what it used to be a couple of decades ago. And this is the cause of sudden flood in the mountains, now it is raining in every season at higher altitudes. This rain is much more than required.

The Himalayan region is spread over a large area of India, and there are very few weather stations in this area, due to which it is difficult to get accurate data about rainfall. And cannot differentiate between snowfalls.

This change is also clearly visible in another Himalayan state, Uttarakhand. We can definitely say that there has been a decrease in snowfall, and this has happened in areas below the height of 6,000 meters. The low-lying areas receive heavy rainfall during the monsoon. The decrease in snowfall and increase in rainfall mean that the nature of the rivers in this are changed.

The increase in temperature has made the problem more serious as it is causing the Himalayan glaciers to melt faster. Due to this, water fills the glacier lakes and this increases the risk of floods. The Himalayas are expected to warm three times faster than the global average rate.

In the states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the incidence of natural calamities has increased as both these are in a comparatively new mountain range which is an extremely ecologically sensitive area. The Himalayas are situated in a seismic zone which makes the situation worse. Effect of increase in rainfall In the northern region where the Himalayas meet the hills of Karakoram and Hindukush, incidents of flash floods are becoming more common. At an altitude of 4,000 meters, it is raining in both summer and winter, while it should have snowed in winter. Here hydropower and drinking water plants, roads and bridges are being destroyed by heavy rains and debris.

→How do natural phenomena affect the economy and infrastructure of your country? (According to my criteria)

As you asked the growing global and warming climatic conditions are putting pressure on the development paths of countries around the world, with obvious economic, social and environmental impacts. The risks in the coming decade are related to climate, including man-made environmental disasters, climate action failure, natural disasters, biodiversity loss and extreme weather will definitely increase and the survival of humans become tougher.

How is climate change relevant to the Indian economy? I would like to tell you that-

Our world is in serious grip facing the challenges posed by climate change, and developing economies like India are particularly vulnerable. Thus, climate risk as a material factor will play an important role in formulating national level policies, business strategies and restructuring of finances in an emerging economy like India.

Rising temperatures due to climate change are accelerating the melting of ice caps, causing sea level rise and causing floods and erosion. India's climate is quite diverse in nature, from the Himalayan Mountains to the flat sea coasts, showing a significant variation in climate.

Climate change patterns with less predictable methods available in this part of our country can make it difficult to maintain and grow crops. In an agricultural economy like India where rainfall is very important, climate change has an immediate impact on the Indian economy.

Lower crop yield: Uncertainty about monsoon changes affects farmers' choice of which crops to plant and the timing of planting, resulting in lower productivity. In addition, earlier seasonal snowmelt and receding glaciers will reduce river flow needed for irrigation.

Impact on Livestock: India has the world's largest livestock population, animals are used as milk producers, manure and seedbeds and as household capital, especially in landless households. Atmospheric conditions reduce food and fodder and increase diseases.

Extreme heat days reduce the productivity of workers, which in turn reduces industrial production, which in turn reduces exports, and consequently lowers national income and indirectly affects world trade and reduces working hours in areas that require heavy outdoor activity such as infrastructure and construction.

Energy and climate share a unique relationship, such that rising temperatures demand increased energy use to aid in the process of mitigating the effects of heat. Also, rising energy demands are often driven by climate-change policies. collide.

Impact on infrastructure: A good and strong infrastructure contributes immensely to the economy of a country. The increasing extremes of natural disasters as a result of climate change have profoundly affected infrastructure. For example, India spent $3 billion on the economic damage caused by floods in the last decade, which is 10% of global economic damage.

Impact on drainage system: India annually drains 34 percent of its available water to the Indo-Gangetic plain as a "breadbasket". Himalayan glaciers are melting faster due to rising temperatures and increased seasonal variability. If the rate increases, glacial lakes are pushed out of their natural limits and river basins fed by these glaciers are likely to flood, followed by flow. decreases, resulting in water loss.

→ "If" it were the end of the world and they choose you to go to another planet, what would you take or who would you take, explain your decision. (My wife, who else?)

I think if the world suddenly ends, I would like to go into the Blackhole. Do you think we will die in there? Maybe yes, maybe not! Maybe in such a situation, many other things can happen to us, as a black hole is that place in space where no law of physics works. Its gravitational field is very powerful. So I will prefer to go there with my wife. No, I will take nothing else with me as I am not sure what would be the conditions there.

No, you are thinking wrong; it is not a matter of love but I will not take her rather she will take me. She can't do anything without me, so she has more attraction than Blackhole as if nothing can escape the attraction of Blackhole. Even the light cannot come out after entering the Blackhole same is true of me. Similarly, it is difficult to avoid the attraction of my wife so there.

Now you know that the gravity of any object wraps the space around it and gives it a curved shape. The same condition is with my wife, the only difference is that this will not be curved but will give the shape of cuddling.

So it is possible that if we have gone out in search of life on some other planet, then we have come out of the spacecraft and only then come under the grip of Blackhole and it is not necessary that they burn to ashes, but settle there due to each other's gravity or attraction.

Thanks for your feedback! I am obliged you picked my post for your great comment.

The damage that we are causing sooner or later would make itself felt, it has been going on for a long time but nobody accepts it, governments only saw their own interest and now it is something so global that you cannot hide it, it seems very daring and serious, even romantic, the black hole would be curious to get there

It's our collective responsibility and we can't depend solely on world governments. You see we shall have to cut the rate of population increment at a rapid rate because that's the main problem of third world countries. My best regards.

Very successful, everything is in sight, something must be done quickly.

Saludos amigo

Thanks, ma'am, this is not the story of my own country only but half the world is going through this problem right now. There are so many countries that facing this situation and they need to do something to correct the situation before it's too kate. Thank you once again.

Your comprehensive insights into global warming's effects on weather, environment, and the Himalayan region are thought provoking.Your humorous take on a Blackhole journey with your wife adds a unique touch. A well rounded response to the challenges posed by climate change.

Thanks bro, everything is so common so I thought at least the last resort for my wife and myself should be a little different from all others .😄

Thank you for your kind words about this burning situation. We shall have to act immediately if we wish to survive the current situation.

Yes, as you stated in your article, global warming has a negative impact on all humans as well as all living creatures. I read in a newspaper article about the Indian Himalayan people's grievances as a result of climate change.

Thanks for your visit and support. Our Himalayan states are still in dire condition and worsening by the day. This is all due to criminal negligence by our governments and civilians.

Yes, I agree with you.
