A Phrase, A Story - By @dave-hanny

Hi beloved steemians, I am delighted to have you all on my blog and I am also glad to participate in this amazing community of Colombia original. Out of the sentences mentioned, I choose to write the phrase that says; What matters in life is not the goals we set for ourselves, but the paths we follow to achieve them be comfortable as we roll in understanding together.

Men with big dreams sets goals for themselves and these goals are the achievements they want to make, I mean such people with the thoughts of the vision set goals of what they want to achieve either before a year finishes or quarterly.

But still, on these goals, some people go to extra mile when what they have set to achieve seems impossible and which is not the best, below is a story of a man called Charles.

Once upon a time, there was a man in my village named Charles. This man named Charles doesn't work, I mean he has no job but he kept on marrying women and presently, he has 9 wives and 25 children, some of these women give birth to twin, two or three children but the unbelieving fact is that he could still feed his family and take good care of them.

Mr. Charles builds houses for rent and also has so many things he has invested in. Now, this is what he does, he has three friends and these friends do not know about the source of his income but he always tells them this is his goal for the year and the friends would always see it done at the exact time Mr. Charles told them it would be accomplished.

Each year, there is always the death of one child in his family, nobody knows why the yearly death in Mr. Charles's house, and unknown to both Charles wives and the community people that it's a sacrifice to renew his wealth. On a faithful day, he decided to share with his friends where he gets his money, by sacrificing a child every year and he further said that was the reason why he uses the money to keep marrying until his death.

One of his friends asked why did he take such a decision of wasting human lives but he said a rich man challenged him while he knew quite okay he did wrong and therefore, he promised to be rich by hook or crook.

One of Charles's friends backstab Charles by announcing to the whole village and immediately the announcement was made, and people kept telling one another, that all his wealth disappeared, his wives ran away and his houses collapsed including the house he sleeps in and that marks the end of his every year's goals, every year riches after each sacrifice of a child and now, there is no more ways of such evil. Indeed what matters in life is not the goals we set for ourselves, but heh the paths we follow to achieve them

• Do not take an expensive decisions because a rich man or woman looked down on you because you are poor but rather, always understand this concept of time with the hope that, your life won't
  Forever remain like this.
