Steemit Engagement Challenge Season8 Week1: What is the value of life?
Hello dear friends and members of wonderful community Colombia-Original. I hope everyone here is doing well. As we all know the first week of SEC Season 8 has started yesterday, So I am here to take part in the challenge.
The topic selected by the community team is very interesting. It will help us share knowledge about death penalities in our country and whether the law is working or not. Also we need to share our opinion that is it good to give death penalty or not. The title of the challenge is "What is the value of life?". So let's start!

It is known to all of us that for serious crimes like murder, terrorism, war crimes, espionage, treason, and rape, there is a death penalty in most of the countries in the world. I personally agree with it and for murder, rape, and terrorism, death penalty must be given.
If I look at most of the rules for such crimes in the world, the death penalty is the only solution because it will keep others away from such crimes. As I am a Muslim, in Islam killing someone is really a bad act and for this only death penalty is given. In our country it is not much implemented but in other Muslim countries, the penalty is given for sure.
Homicide is really a great sin and the person who killed another person must be killed but under proper laws and rules. I am not with those who kill a murderer and not let the state of the country to control the situation and give death penalty to the murderer.
A person's life is very precious and if someone takes with, then how can he be ignored? Why police should not take action for it. So I totally agree with death penalities but for major crimes not unnecessary killings for state's own benefit.

Yes death penalty is part of my country Pakistan because we are an Islamic state and here mostly rules are according to Islam. In my country, hundreds of people each year gets death penalty because they have killed someone or did some horrible crimes that only have punishment of death.
If I talk about implementation and with honesty, these days only poor people are given death penalities but not the rich people. Also our justice system is with rich people and that is the hard reality to accept. In rare cases, rich people sentenced to death but 97% of the times poor criminals gets death penalty in my country.
I know it will sound impossible but this is the reality that only rich people gets justice and not the poor ones. Personally I have not much hope now in justice system here but I wish one day everything will be fine and proper Islamic laws will be implemented no matter a person is rich, poor, politician, or any person from any government department.

Yes 2 prisoners, Muhammad Faisal and Muhammad Afzal were sentenced to death in 1999 on March 7. They were doing armed robbery and murders and when get caught by police, they were sentenced to death. It is one of the oldest death penalty in our country when laws were implemented properly.
Other than this, I have not seen more death penalities in my country. The terrorists who get caught also sentenced to death but I have not yet seen any. Still the rule of death penalty is working in our country and if someone finds guilty, he is executed immediately (only poors).
