Amigos queridos que día tras día concurren a leernos, seguirnos y apoyarnos con tanto cariño, les saludo con un afecto sincero. En respuesta a la invitación que nos hiciera tan amablemente las hermosas @belenguerra y @fendit, moderadoras de @writingnreviews, me uno con mucho entusiasmo, en aras de seguir celebrando la semana que se conmemora a la mujer, sus valores, sus luchas y todo lo hermoso que nos conforma. Se nos instó a seleccionar un personaje femenino que haya impactado la sociedad, y en lo personal, aunque no profeso la fe católica, yo siempre he admirado y seguido el trabajo (a pesar de que ella ya no se encuentra en el plano terrenal) de la siempre servicial Teresa de Calcuta, o como me gusta recordarla: Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, que fue el nombre que le pusieron sus padres.

In response to the invitation so kindly made to us by the beautiful @belenguerra and @fendit, moderator of @writingnreviews, I join with great enthusiasm, in order to continue celebrating the week that commemorates women, their values, their struggles and everything beautiful that conforms us.
We were urged to select a female character that has impacted society, and personally, although I do not profess the Catholic faith, I have always admired and followed the work (despite the fact that she is no longer on the earthly plane) of the always helpful Teresa of Calcutta, or as I like to remember her: Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, which was the name her parents gave her.

Agnes, was born in Albania, and was naturalized in India, called to the ministry of the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta around 1950. She devotedly cared for people from poor, sick, orphaned and dying strata, and at the same time guided as a pastor to a congregation of faith. Beyond the achievements of a religious nature, (because she was canonized with the papacy of John Paul II, and later beatified, with the current Pope Francis), she had such a resounding impact on society that many foundations and natural people began to follow in his footsteps. Among some who followed his footsteps there are royals, such as Lady Diana, and many celebrities, such as: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, among others who were moved with mercy to positively reach such a convulsed society.

Agnes, nació en Albania, y fue naturalizada en india, llamada al ministerio de las Misioneras de la Caridad en Calcuta alrededor de año 1950. Cuidó con devoción a personas de estratos pobres, enfermos, huérfanos y moribundos, y a la vez guiaba como pastora a una congregación de fe. Más allá de los logros de índole religioso, (porque fue canonizada con el papado de Juan Pablo II, y luego beatificada, con el actual Papa Francisco), ella impactó de un modo tan rotundo a la sociedad, que a partir de ella muchas fundaciones y personas naturales comenzaron a seguir sus pasos. Entre algunos que siguieron sus pisadas se cuentan personas de la realeza, como Lady Diana, y muchos personajes de la farándula, como: Angelina Jolie y Brad Pitt, entre otros que fueron movidos a misericordia para alcanzar positivamente a la sociedad tan convulsionada.

For me, Agnes's life is an unmatched model of love and detachment, which moves and inspires to help those who truly need it, leaving aside the borders of religion, race, sex, and others stipulated by society. . I sincerely think that the world needs more Agnes, who answer yes to the call to help, who seek peace above all treasures and who do not boast of any achievement, because at the end of the day, the flesh is corrupted and the spirit remains intact in the hearts of all those around us, for better or for worse. I decide, like Agnes, to make a mark for good on my generation. What do you decide?

Para mí, la vida de Agnes, es un modelo inigualable de amor y desprendimiento, que conmueve e inspira a ayudar a quienes verdaderamente lo precisan, dejando de lado las fronteras de la religión, la raza, el sexo, y otras estipuladas por la sociedad. Pienso, sinceramente, que en el mundo hacen falta más Agnes, que respondan sí al llamado de ayudar, que busquen la paz por sobre todos los tesoros y que no se vanaglorien de ningún logro, porque al final de cuentas, la carne se corrompe y el espíritu permanece intacto en los corazones de todos los que nos rodean, para bien o para mal. Yo decido, como Agnes, dejar una marca para bien en mi generación. ¿Y tú?
