ABOUT THE MOVIE

The movie is about the Perron family who move into their new farmhouse only to discover that there are horrifying phenomena occurring all around it. Terrified for their lives, they approach demonologists, Ed and Lorraine Warren, and ask them for their help in getting their house free of the evil. As the movie proceeds, we are shown how the Warrens tackle this situation.

ANALYSIS OF THE MOVIE

The Conjuring is said to be based on a true story. The movie is on a real-life exploit of paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren. The real Lorraine Warren even herself provided consultancy to the filmmakers and the director. Also, the entire Perron family, around whom the movie was based also showed support to the film.

The audience, also enjoyed the movie a lot. The movie is a good example of a modern-day supernatural film. The Conjuring is creepy, tense, unsettling in the perfect way it is delivered to the audience. The camera work and the sounds produced are also commendable. They help in creating an eerie environment. Despite the movie being shot at several dark locations, the picture quality is good. As the movie proceeds, the plot keeps on getting interesting. The sudden door slamming shut or lights going out all add to making the scenario more haunting.
