As a drummer, Chazelle developed an affinity for musicals that he has carried with him. He and another Harvard student Justin Hurwitz came up with the idea for the film when they were still students. Following his relocation to Los Angeles in 2010, Chazelle was forced to make substantial design changes to acquire finance for his Movie. Movie Plot

The attack on Sebastian Seb Wilder, a fantastic actress who is stuck in traffic in LA, takes the form of a physical altercation with the jazz musician. The casting director ruined Mia's second audition, who had a tough day at work during an emotionally charged scene. It is the same night that her roommates invite her to an expensive Hollywood Hills event, informing her that someone in the audience may be able to aid with the debut of her professional career. Following that, she comes home in a depressed state of mind.

Despite the restaurant owner's caution against playing anything but traditional Christmas music, Seb uses the chance to create a jazz piece. If their love and careers had flourished at the same time, the two would fantasize about what could have occurred if their paths had crossed sooner. This is their final performance together before she leaves. In the final moments, before they say goodbye, Mia and Seb exchange a secret grin.
