Keith and Natalie get closer via their relationship and mutual dates. Rafael develops envy for her capacity to keep a stable relationship with Keith despite their disagreements.

Keith and Natalie had an altercation in the middle of the night, and Al and a little boy called Billy arrived at the scene. Al and Billy's relationship is unknown. Due to Keith's compassion for Billy, Natalie believes Keith is a softie. Keith's favorite place is The Brick, which Natalie directs him to follow sometime on a gravel road. They exchanged a few words before kneeling and kissed.

The next day, they return to the cliff to confer about their plans. Natalie sees the vehicle is going while she is sleeping in the back and conversing with her buddy. When she realizes she is about to drown, she calls for Keith to save her by jumping from the bridge.

Keith, on the other hand, maintains his calm throughout his droning. Keith gets into the driver's seat as the plane is about to take off and slams the brakes hard. Natalie has expressed her dissatisfaction with Keith, and she inquires if he wants to take his own life. Natalie returns from work wearing Keith's jacket and discovers a prescription bottle of pills in his pocket.

Worried, Keith has been absent from school for many days, and Natalie has to speak with him about the medicine. Because the school does not have Keith's address,

Natalie travels to his house, an ancient white house with a large porch, which he told Natalie he lived in. When she arrives, she discovers Keith has lied about his location. Keith reappears two weeks later, and Natalie has had enough of his flagrant falsehoods.

She breaks into his locker to uncover his actual address and is therefore expelled from school. When Natalie arrives at Keith's house, he refuses to let her see him, and so she conceals herself in the rear of his yellow vehicle. Keith emerges from his residence later that night and drives to the cliff's edge.

In the back seat of Keith's automobile, Natalie professes her love for him and gives him her virginity. While Keith is enthusiastic about establishing a relationship with Natalie, he advises her to forget about what occurred, making Natalie upset.

Natalie's tennis career is in shambles, and she faces losing her tennis scholarship due to her declining performance. Additionally, she abandons Rafael. Al, Natalie's new buddy, turns out to be Keith's therapist. Natalie discovers Billy died of cancer, leading her to believe Keith is similarly afflicted.

When Keith shows up at Natalie's house one night, she drives him to the airport to complete his tasks within the time he has remaining. Keith eventually confesses to Natalie his genuine love for her, and Natalie tells Keith that she intends to stay with him regardless of what the future holds. The camera zooms out as they exchange kisses.

It then cuts to Natalie graduating from high school, when Keith has undoubtedly died, and she has adopted many of Keith's old behaviors. She transforms into a grease monkey in the process and now finds herself behind the wheel of Keith's bright yellow pickup truck.

After all, Keith was denied the opportunity to fulfill his dream, so why should she be? This is her second year traveling to London, Ontario in order to compete in this event with Keith's yellow truck.
