Robotics engineers are developing equipment to help doctors operate in tight spaces in the body usually minimally invasive surgical techniques.one innovation in this field is inspired by the highly flexible arm ,or tenacle ,of the octopus.
Consider the octopus can grab ,hold and squeeze objects with its eight extendableand flexible arms,even in tiny spaces,not only can octopus bends its tentacles in any direstion but it can also stiffen different sections of arms as needed.

Such a robotic arm has already been developed and is being used in simulated operations.one part of the 135 milimeter arm can manipulate soft internal organs by lifting and holding them without causing any damage to them,while another performs the actual operation.

Octopus have 9 brains because in addition to the central brain ,each of the 8 arms has a mini brain that allows it to act independently.octopuses have blue blood because they have adapted to cold,low oxygen water by using hemocyanin,a copper rich protein,they can anticipate a painful,difficult stressful situation,they can remember it.

Octopuses can also change colour to hide and match their surroundings ,they can flex their bodies to resist or resmble more dangerous animals ,if it happens that an octopus does get caught ,it can lose its arms and regrow them....

Octopuses are fast swimmers but they prefer to slowly crawl along the sea bottom.but sadly thet have a short life span some species only live for six months ,while others lives for five years ,the larger the octopus the longer it lives.No matter what when octopus mate ,they die soon after, during reproduction a male delivers sperm by inserting a specialised arm into the females mantle cavity...

Indeed the octopus amazing arms has a role which the play ,and that makes them very unique...
