Indeed! Just like what the movie encounter, A man who became a Slave because he been kidnapped and sold to slavery in Deep South.

He, Solomon Northup the brave man, has so many challenges that he encounter in his life, who was a skilled violinist and a carpenter. But suddenly a darkness came to his life. He been kidnapped and he became a slave.

Solomon Northup encounter the cruelty of one malevolent owner (Michael Fassbender), he also encounter the unforeseen kindness from another people and he struggling again and again to survive, so that he carry on some of his dignity.
Then the 12th year came the disheartening ordeal, a chance meeting with an abolitionist from Canada changes Solomon's life.

He became an active in the abolitionist movement, lectured on slavery throughout the Northeastern United States and aided fugitive slaves on the Underground Rail road -unknown

We, respect each other as what we respect in our own self. NO TO POVERTY! Because it cannot be change the way to succeed in our life! We have the rights to be explore and find ourselves better! We don't have rights to discriminate People it's just because of their color, religion, places, gender and many more that we don't have to enter in their life.
