An review about Crystal Castles, the band and the violence within (Experimental electronic music duo)

Good day, good afternoon and good night. I'm @ronx96 and today i wil talk about one of my favourite musicians duo so with nothing else to say.

What is Crystal Castles?

Crystal Castles I'ts a Experimental Electro or Witch house music duo which formed in 2003 when Ethan Kant met his well known ex-partner and ex-couple Alice Glass

They met during an studio session when Ethan Kant was looking for a good and nice vocalist for his new project, he looked to a girl that was recording vocals for a local punk group and that was love on first hearing.

Career

Together they made their first EP and most famous Self-titled (also known has I) EP that was released on 2005

"Crystal castles" I'ts a EP composed of 16 (and one bonus) songs that are mainly pure Witch house with an heavy Chiptune influence that can led the listener into a really 2009's alternative vibes while at same time keeping you excited to the next unexpected and different song within the EP, their most famous song was Crimewave which featured on a episode of the 2007 hit Tv series Skins.

Their second album (and most famous) "II" was released on 2010

"II" was their iconic and most famous album which featured 14 songs on a more solid and agressive Witch house sound without that chiptune from their first album making it a more dark atmospheric music. The album has songs like Year of silence, Vietnam, Violents dreams that if you listen while alone and in complete darkness maybe they will make you feel some weird in your skin.

They made has a group another 2 albums that i will not include in this post.

Violence

In 2017 Alice glass made public that during her time in Crystal castles she suffered from abuse, harassment, physical and psychologic abuse, making it clear that Ethan Kant was her abuser, he never went to trial or anything and by today his fame and reputation are still untouched, during concerts you could look at an Alice that was almost into a trance like state where she yelled, kicked, spitted and even throwed stuff into the public.
Ethan Kant is 11 years old over Alice Glass.
