Writing and Reviews - Biography Contest - Eleanor Fosu's Biography

At the age of 5 years most of end having people ask as what we want to become in future and whiles generally lots of people do not expect much from children at that age it is these little things that end up shaping our lives and drive our career goals in the future. And so from a simple innocent question to we choosing which courses to offer in high school then the program to offer in the University all has a major role to play in our Life.

Meet Eleanor Fosu, my inspiration

History

Eleanor Fosu has happens to be my immediate sister, i am actually the last born and the only male to three elder sisters. You do not know what trouble is till you grow up with only sisters in the house. She has always been an excellent student as far back as my memory can go, we attended the same basic school and the same junior high school. Born on the 24th 1994 of April her birthday is only two days after i celebrate mine and she is only 3 years older than me. I have always looked up to her since childhood, perhaps is goes to enforce the Akan Adage that says, "De3 odi akyire no sua de3 odi anim nante3", which translates as he who follows the leader or the one in fronts learns from the way he walks, and so i learned everything from Her.

Academic Life

After graduating with excellent grades as top 5 of her class in Junior High School, she was admitted to one of the best Senior High Schools in the Ashanti Region, Saint Louis Senior High School which is an all girls school. In the school she continued to excel and interestingly i happen to be one of the first people to always look at her reports sent by the school to my father. Her music life took a kick start from high school when she became the leader for the alto singers in her final year.

After an excellent performance in her final examinations she was part of the first batch of a new bachelor in midwifery program started by Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology that year. In the university she joined the university choir and also became leader and music director for the alto singers in her second year. Officially she was the first person in my nuclear family to complete and i made it point in my life to achieve the highest academic recognition just so i will beat her for her to be even more proud than i am of her.

Career Life

After school she passed her licensure exams with flying colors and has been working as a midwife since then. She recently got her official posting from the government where she had to work at the capital city of the Nation, Accra in the Greater Accra Region. She is also member of prestigious choral singing groups including Celestial Evangel Choir and the Kumasi Diocesan Choir for the Methodist Church. She is a part-time steemian and has been on the blockchain since i introduced her to it about 2 years ago.

My Inspiration

To me Ellen as i like to call her is an epitome of excellence, dedication and resilience. She is what i call when the going gets tough the tough gets going, i have always wanted to excel in every single thing i do and so seeing her do that at every stage in her life told me that this is something i can also do. She motivates and encourages me in everything i do and does not hesitate to give me a helping hand when things get tough. She pushed me into kickstarting my music career too and because of her i can play the keyboard today. I am doing healthcare program and in my 6th and final year today because of her, she told me to follow my passion and i did.

And so getting the opportunity today to participate in this contest, i want celebrate her and also say a big thank you to @belenguerra & @fendit for this wonderful opportunity to talk about someone i admire so much.
