SHOULD HE BREAK UP WITH HER?//WEEKLY CONTEST 😔

Time had seized to exist on that day. He recalled it so vividly like it was yesterday. The memories were fresh and so was the pain. It hurt so much and it was becoming unbearable. They say that time heals all wounds but time had betrayed him. One year down the road and he was still being haunted by the ghosts of the past.

Every glance that she shot towards him held so much contempt and anger. She too was still hurting and he blamed himself for all her pain. He felt like he deserved death itself but even death betrayed him. Time failed to heal his wounds and death refused to come for him.

Was this his ultimated punishment for his sin? Was it? If it was then he felt every bit of it and there was nothing pretty about what he was going through.

His mind constantly took him back to that place when it all fell apart. If only he had locked the gate... if only he had remembered to lock it. Perhaps then, his baby girl would still be alive. Perhaps his precious wife would still look at him with loving eyes. Perhaps he wouldn't be living in this hell.

Should he break up with her? He constantly questioned himself on this. Maybe staying together was a mistake. Maybe it is the reason they were going through so much today.
All he wants is to end her pain. He knows that his presence will always remind her of their little angel but leaving her to deal with it alone for the rest of her life felt so cruel too.
He knows not what to do.
Should he break up with her?
