Movies .. they are one of the things that keep us entertained. They help us escape the harsh realities of life for a split second; which is a good thing of course. Everyone has those few movies that made it on their favorites list. Let tell you about my top ten movies. 🎥🎥

1. LORD OF THE RINGS

This movie is one interesting one. It revolves around a ring that was said to be the ruler of all other rings...ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL..but it's the ring that roots evil.
Everyone wants to take possession of the ring so that they can have ultimate power. But because all this power is too much for one man, the ring has to be destroyed in the very fire from which it was made. Lord of the rings has three parts that were released in 2001, 2002 and 2003 respectively.
The Adventure that the fellowship of the ring takes on is a thrilling one that had me on my feet the whole time.

2. FAST AND FURIOUS

Are you a fun of racing and fast cars? This is the perfect movie for you. It is all about the world of racing, the risks, the love, the honor and all that comes with it. Fast and furious is definitely a hot cake with almost 9 parts and counting. The first part of the movie was released in 2001 followed by siquels in 2003,2006,2009,2013,2015,2017 and all the way to 2021. My favorite character is Vin Diesel who plays the part of Don. The unity, love and honor that surrounds the racers is definitely an eye catcher.

3. PITCH PERFECT

It is an American musical film that follows the journey of some talented young ladies (the Baden Bellas), an Acapella group as they try to overcome the challenges in their way to victory. The first part was released in 2012, second part in 2015 and third part in 2017. All parts together show how the Baden Bellas transition from young college students to adults with music as the one thing that connects them all. I love the sisterhood bond that the Baden Bellas have and despite everything, it doesn't break.

4. JUMANJI

Jumanji is about a group of strangers turned friends that get stuck in a video game called jumanji. They have to save Jumanji ( this is a place in the video game) in order for them to return to the real world. Part one of jumanji was released in 2017 followed by a siquel in 2019.
The adventure and action is gold star🌟 worthy.

5. GIRL'S TRIP

A group of girls who have been friends for a long time graduate from college, take different paths in lives and eventually end up falling apart. Ryan (one of the girls) organises a girl's trip for the four women to reconnect. This trip is filled with crazy events, emotions go wild and the things that were left unsaid are said. This is what it takes to bring the girls closer than ever before. This amazing movie was released in 2017.
This movie taught me that we should always keep those we love near and even if we are so busy living our lives, we should not neglect those relationships.

6. BLACK PANTHER

T'challa comes back home to Africa to take his rightful place as the king of wakanda but he is faced with tragedy and danger. He has to rally his allies and fight to protect his people and his land. Black panther was released in2018.
I love this movie specifically because of the story and the action it has to offer especially from the women of wakanda.

7. THINK LIKE A MAN

In this movie, full young boys seem to be stuck in the bodies of full grown men. We have the player, the Mama's boy, the dreamer, and the one afraid of commitment. They have spent their lives playing around and being unserious about the romantic relationships in their lives. But all this changes when they finally met their equals (the women that turn their lives around). Think like a man was released in 2012 followed by a siquel in 2014. Watching both parts of think like a man, one thing I remember is that I couldn't stop laughing.😂😂it is absolutely hilarious.

8. CAPTAIN AMERICA

A small man that no one knew is experimented on in a lab and is turned into the world's greatest super hero... released in 2011.
Am not big on super hero movies but Chris Evans got my attention. There couldn't have been any better person to play that part besides him.

9. FIFTY SHADES OF GREY

Follow the famous story of Anna and Christian Grey. Christian is a man of power who always gets what he wants. However, he doesn't do relationships...that is until he meets Anna, the simple girl that turns his life around and makes him finally give in into commitment.
It has three parts ....Fifty shades of grey released in 2015, fifty shades darker 2017 and fifty shades freed 2018. I love it because it shows that no one is too broken to fix. We all have our tramours and bad habits that we have held onto for so long but they don't define us. We can make the choice to move on and develop new and healthy habits that can enrich our lives.🤗

10.CRAZY RICH ASIANS

In this romance movie, super rich meets average. Nick the son of an extremely rich Singapore family is in love with Racheal who comes from an "okay" family, raised by a single mother. Their relationship is put to the test when Nick takes Rachael to meet his family. Emotions and drama fly high as two worlds collide.
What really caught my eye besides the drama was the closing scene. How Rachael responds to Nick's mom at the end got me on my feet clapping. 🤝
