Esta es la historia de la familia Suzuki, una familia de 4, Mama, Papa y dos hijos adolescentes, estos viven vidas cotidianas en Tokio y sus vidas giran en torno a la tecnología.
Todo marcha bien, hasta que ocurre un apagón nacional.

El padre de familia se levanta por mera inercia, entiende que es tarde y que debe irse a trabajar, revisa el reloj y no funciona, pregunta a su esposa e hijos la hora, pero nadie la sabe, todos los dispositivos de la casa están muertos.
Junto a su hija e hijo salen del apartamento, los tres creen que solo ellos están sin servicio; sin embargo, al dirigirse al ascensor entienden que es todo el edificio que esta sin luz.

La situación cambia de contexto con el pasar de los minutos, el hombre desesperado por ir al trabajo constata que la estación del tren esta llena de personas, la información que se maneja es que debido a la falla eléctrica no saldrán trenes dentro de poco.

En el trabajo los integrantes de la empresa comprenden que no es posible laborar sin electricidad, es por ello que hasta que no haya suministro no tendrán trabajo.
La madre de la familia va en plan de compras y busca comida preparada, cosa que desde ya escasea, compra algunas cosas y agua.
La joven y el joven no tienen clases por la emergencia, ambos retornan a casa, un tanto alegres pero confundidos por la situación.
Durante la noche logran ver un espectáculo único que no se logra ver con las luces de la ciudad, el cielo luce estrellado e increíble.

Los días siguientes fueron más complejos la madre tuvo que buscar agua en otros lugares, tuvo que lavar y tender la ropa dentro del apartamento, la familia se las apaño para concluir esos días bien.
El drama de la ciudad se intensifica, no hay suministros, escasea todo y la gente está optando por irse a zonas alejadas, el caos se acerca, de esto es consciente el patriarca de la familia; por ello los reúne a todos y propone que toda la familia vaya a vivir donde vive el abuelo, un sitio apartado de las grandes urbes.

La chica no acepta la idea de tener que vivir en el campo, la madre comprende que deben hacer algo antes de que se queden sin suministros.

El plan era ir al aeropuerto, tomar un avión e irse con rumbo a destino, cuando llegan al aeropuerto se encuentran con que ninguno de los aviones funciona.
En casa toman el mapa y calculan el viaje desde Tokio hasta casa del abuelo, buscan una cuarta bicicleta y toda la familia se pone a punto para el viaje; lo que no calculaban era que se iban a aventurar en una misión difícil de afrontar considerando que ninguno de ellos tiene conocimientos previos de supervivencia.

La familia se somete a la fuerza de la naturaleza los retos del camino y la unión de la misma.

La tragicomedia se convierte en drama al final. Survival family es una gran película para ver en familia, en compañía o en soledad tiene grandes enseñanzas es entretenida y te hace pensar un poco.

A pesar de entrar en el género de ciencia ficción, la película nos muestra un escenario muy factible a ocurrir, de hecho los que vivimos en Venezuela conocemos lo que es estar más de tres días sin electricidad, sin embargo no sabemos lo que es estar sin baterias, sin dispositivos, carros, aviones a la vez.

Survival family es uno de los muchos dramas que surgirían de una situación así, me gusto mucho la forma como trataron la historia como la desenvolvieron y la hicieron interesante.
Esta historia japonesa es muy recomendable, yo le daría un 6.5 sobre 10.
Imagine that you have no electricity for an indefinite period of time, add to that, all battery operated appliances don't work, you live in the city and food and water become scarce as time goes by, what will you do?
This is the story of the Suzuki family, a family of 4, Mom, Dad and two teenage children, they live everyday lives in Tokyo and their lives revolve around technology.
Everything is going well, until a national blackout occurs.
The father of the family gets up by mere inertia, he understands that it is late and he must go to work, he checks the clock and it does not work, he asks his wife and children the time, but nobody knows it, all the devices in the house are dead.
Together with his daughter and son he leaves the apartment, the three of them believe that only they are without service; however, when they go to the elevator they understand that the whole building is without light.
The situation changes context as the minutes go by, the man desperate to go to work notices that the train station is full of people, the information that is handled is that due to the electrical failure no trains will be leaving soon.
At work the members of the company understand that it is not possible to work without electricity, that is why until there is no supply they will not have work.
The mother of the family goes shopping and looks for prepared food, which is already in short supply, and buys some things and water.
The young woman and the young man do not have classes because of the emergency, both return home, somewhat happy but confused by the situation.
During the night they manage to see a unique spectacle that can not be seen with the lights of the city, the sky looks starry and incredible.
The following days were more complex, the mother had to look for water in other places, she had to wash and hang the clothes inside the apartment, the family managed to finish those days well.
The drama of the city intensifies, there are no supplies, everything is scarce and people are opting to go to distant areas, chaos is approaching, the patriarch of the family is aware of this, so he gathers them all and proposes that the whole family goes to live where the grandfather lives, a place away from the big cities.

The girl does not accept the idea of having to live in the countryside, the mother understands that they must do something before they run out of supplies.
The plan was to go to the airport, take a plane and leave for their destination, when they arrive at the airport they find that none of the planes are working.
At home they take the map and calculate the trip from Tokyo to grandfather's house, they look for a fourth bicycle and the whole family gets ready for the trip; what they did not calculate was that they were going to venture into a difficult mission to face considering that none of them has previous knowledge of survival.
The family submits to the force of nature, the challenges of the road and the union of the same.

The tragicomedy turns into drama at the end. Survival family is a great movie to watch as a family, in company or alone has great teachings is entertaining and makes you think a little.
Despite being in the science fiction genre, the film shows us a very feasible scenario to occur, in fact those of us who live in Venezuela know what it is to be more than three days without electricity, however we do not know what it is to be without batteries, without devices, cars, airplanes at the same time.
Survival family is one of the many dramas that would arise from such a situation, I really liked the way they treated the story and made it interesting.
This Japanese story is highly recommended, I would give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Se ve interesante, viven situaciones extremas, me hizo recordar aquel apagón que vivimos en el 2019
Exacto, para mí fue irónico ver una historia así. Algún día el cine hará una película o documental sobre lo que vivimos entonces.
