Movie Review // A Movie For Every Marriage
The movie "Fireproof" is one that shows the story of a married couple, Caleb and Catherine. Their marriage was crumpling and they wanted an out. Catherine wanted a divorce and Caleb wanted peace. He felt if his peace came in form of a divorce, then it was acceptable.
But then Caleb's perspective of love and marriage changed when his father introduced him to the faith and brought him closer to God, giving him a 40-day experiment of loving his wife unconditionally to carry out. He began seeing everything in a new light.
It teaches about God, love, patience and faith.
Marriage is not always a bed of roses. This is something a lot of people fail to understand. Marriage is not all about loving a person when everything is great.
When that person changes and everything turns bad, will the love, communication and friendship still be there? But it is for life; for better or for worse. We shouldn't give up just because something is hard. We shouldn't give up on someone just because they are being unreasonable or insensitive.
Caleb's father didn't give up on his son or let his son give up even after all the disappointments. His mother also didn't give up on her husband during her own time. At the end, their patience and faith paid off because they ended up having a happy ending.

Our faith, behaviour and attitude can change the lives of others and bring them to God. In the movie fireproof, this was seen in the way Catherine (the female protagonist) became convinced of the faith and wanted God who changed her husband, Caleb (the male protagonist) to change her as well.
Thank you for reading through. I hope you learnt something from my review.
