Hoping for your good and sound health.

It is my first-ever post in this community writing and Reviews.

Hopefully, you all will like my article on the topic of "Importance of Sports and Games in our life".

Let's start it, First of all, we should know what sports really means.

Sports means competition or contest, which is played between players or a team of players by performing different physical activities against a pre-described set of rules. It is played for self-enjoyment, fitness, healthy competition, or recreational purposes.

In today's world, there are more sports which are played for the entertainment of the spectators. And if the competition is from all around the world then there are spectators in the counts of thousands to support their teams.

Types of Sports and Games:

There are so many types of sports all around the world. But we will discuss some of the popular games around the world. which are as follow:

1- Football

2-Cricket

3-Basketball

4-Volleyball

5-Table tennis and,

6-Olympics games etc

Let me start with our childhood. In childhood when we start going to school, most of our first friends and social connections start by taking part in games, and those friendships last longer than many others. Along with socialization, sports play a very vital role in the development of a child's personality. By taking part in sports/games the child gain so much confidence, skills, mental and physical fitness, motivation, and experience, which helps him/her in their personality development.

After all these, sports allow us to accept the loss and be patient for our turn to get pass the line. Sports in the student life is so important because it helps the students to be prepared for the coming challenges of their lives by teaching different lessons like discipline, teamwork, patience, control of emotions, and many more. And these lessons help us all our life.

If someone is good in any sport, he/she can even pursue it as a career and spent their life along with that sport by playing, and then coaching, etc. In short, we should play some sort of sport in our life because in student life it will teach us the lessons to face our coming life problems but if one wants to remain fit then he/she should give time on a daily basis to at least a single game. Otherwise, they will have to carry a lot of fats on their body for the rest of their lives.

There is a famous saying in my native language which means; "The area of the population where sports grounds are filled with players, left their hospitals empty"

This sentence very concisely summarizes our topic, which means when sports grounds are filled with players then there are more healthy people in that area and that's why their hospitals have fewer patients. It means, by playing sports you remain physically healthy and mentally sound. Sports also reduce depression and anxiety. It has so many other benefits too.

Healthiest Sports and games?

Almost all sports are healthy but some of them are more healthiest. Let's briefly discuss some of them,

1-Swimming- Swimming is one of the easy ways to burn calories, improves lung capacity, and helps in the building of muscles and speed.image.pngSource

2-Cycling- it is also a good sport to burn calories, strengthen the muscles and brain.

3-Running- It helps in strengthening the muscles and bones, it also improves mental health

4-Tennis- It helps in the promotion of coordination of different parts of our body, and also in building muscles, eyesight and burning calories, etc.

Advantages of Sports?

Some general advantages of sports are as follows:

  • Sports help in improving physical as well as mental health.
  • Sports teach us teamwork.
  • Sports teach us leadership skills.
  • Sports help us in developing confidence.
  • Sports reduce depression and anxiety.
  • Sports help us maintain a healthy weight for a long time.
  • Sports teach us patience.
  • Sports teach us social as well as communication skills. etc

Bottom Line:

Bottom line is, sports play a very important role in our life. It teaches us a lot of life lessons that help in dealing with different challenges of life. We must play some sort of sport to remain healthy and sound.

People often emphasize that importance of going to the gym, but I believe doing Sport is more beneficial. It rains the mind and body, you learn team work and learn to be competitive.
