Idleness (Poem)✍✍
The second day followed the first;
Walking in its shadows all along,
The day's deeds also went to rest,
And dubbed yesterday in a song.
All these happenings came and went,
But a man still had his hands folded,
Between his laps with his head bent,
He's so delighted in counting the stars.
A man kept his hands folded for so long,
Even until and after things fell apart,
The struggle to stand on his feet after a fall is hard,
First was the bridge of Great Britain,
And the fold of his own wealth like a mat.
Idleness made man see evil as good,
and thorny parts he now saw as sleek,
He preferred to lay where others stood,
And soon he became the devil's tool.
Idleness.
