🎙SOUND IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE 🔊 🎶

Our daily life is constantly immersed in a world of vibrations, in an invisible sound nebula. We must know that our living responds without respite or rest, to an infinite series of sound stimuli, each of which has a sense, a meaning and an immediately differentiated content.

The sounds in our daily life are found even in more banal situations such as connecting a USB to our computer. It is fascinating to what extent the sound is designed for this action, since what we hear this time is an ascending perfect fifth (an interval that occurs, for example, between the notes C and G). As if this were not enough, when we disconnect the USB, we hear the fifth just, only this time it is descending. It may be silly, but really, the type of sound is well thought out: an ascending perfect fifth is traditionally interpreted in music as the announcement, the presentation of an event.

Another example is with our phone, when the battery is at its last, a warning message usually appears to connect the charger. Usually this prompt is accompanied by a three-note chromatic decay (i.e. re-do # -do), which sounds pretty pathetic.

Thanks to this, we can distinguish the voice of a person, with that of another, his voice timbre, and his way of speaking, make us differentiate him from another person, even if, for example, they are singing the same voices.

Sound, along with other physical principles, has existed on planet Earth since long before anything and anyone was able to perceive that it was there, since the origin of planet Earth. Yes ladies and gentlemen, the age of sound is around 4.6 billion years.

It is evident that we need ambient sound to live. Although there are people who cannot hear, they receive vibration that makes them perceive a sound sensation at low frequencies.
