Now that we starting again in a new home, we are taking our lessons from the first family house that we owned... which means that we are now more experienced with handywork and gardening! Of course, that doesn't mean that we are anywhere close to experts at it... but we are definitely both much less incompetent! It also helps that we are now back in Australia, where we are familiar with the English descriptions of tools and just asking for help from the hardware stores. Plus, we have a number of people in the extended family who are tradesmen and are happy to answer our stupid questions...

So, this morning, I played at being a tradie! We have borrowed my father in law's ute... an old battered but highly reliable utility truck with a nice large tray that we have been using to cart furniture and assorted other stuff. I started this day with a quick early morning visit to the hardware store to pick up some gardening tools and a large ladder...

Namely... a leaf blower/vacuum, a hand rolled lawn mower and a large ladder to help with pruning trees and cleaning out the gutters of the new place. I also had to teach a violin student at the new location too... hence the the violins in the back! I've gotten used to driving this stupidly loud and noisy truck around the place... I am actually starting to secretly love it!

Anyway, in the early hours of the hardware store opening (and on the weekdays), you are getting mostly tradies who are shopping for materials and that sort of thing. Needless to say, rocking up in a classic tradie ute... I'm absolutely sure that I did NOT look the part with my nerdy demeanour!

Anyway, the main reason for the trip to the hardware store was the need for a ladder so that I could get to work on cleaning up the gutters of the house. The house is ringed by large gum trees... which is really nice for privacy and shade, but is a bit terrible for the amount of leaves that end up in the gutters. Now, we are likely to have some rain in the coming days... and so, I thought it would be a good idea to clear the worst of the leaves before we ended up with a disaster...

I did manage to get most of it done before the violin lesson... there are still some little patches that will need to be completed, but for the moment, I think it will have to do.

In the coming days, I will also need to prune some of the trees and bushes.. there are quite a few messy spots and some dead branches that could be just trimmed out to avoid having a large branch drop down on us at an inopportune moment. Plus, there is this power/communications line that is a it entangled in the trees.... I might ask for some expert help there from the extended family or a professional. I don't know about the practical stuff to do with electricity... and I'm sure that all the theoretical physics knowledge in the world will collapse if I make a mistake here!

So... we are on track to moving in and sleeping in the house near the end of the next week. When we are there full-time we will have lots of gardening and tidying up of the trees/bushes to do... plus a bit of a repainting and that sort of thing within the house. There are near term plans to plant a veggie garden, replace the windows, and also build out a studio/library in the existing carport. But we have time... after all, this is hopefully our last home!

Cointracking: Automated or manual tracking of crypto for accounting and taxation reports.
Stoic: A USD maximisation bot trading on Binance using long-term long strategies, powered by the AI/human system of Cindicator.
StakeDAO: Decentralised pooled staking of PoS assets.
Poloniex: One of the older regulated exchanges that has come into new ownership. I used to use it quite a lot, but have since stopped.
Bitfinex: Ahhh... another oldie, but a goodie exchange. Most noted for the close affiliation with USDT and the Basic "no-KYC" tier!
