Make your stay in Steemit sustainable 💪

Are you a Steemit fan because you're new or because you've been here for some time? I'll tell you how you can make your stay on the platform have a long and committed duration! Let's get straight to the point ...

There are 3 ways to be on Steemit:

  • Almost not being present
  • Leave the rest of your life and be in front of the computer 12 hours a day
  • Be in a balanced way

1- Almost not being present

There are users who:

  • They open their accounts and don't come back
  • After a couple of months of not receiving votes, they decide to lower their arms and retire
  • They post 1 or twice a week

For the first and second, it is good that you know that all starts are difficult and it takes time, effort and energy to grow in Steemit. It's not about simply publishing and receiving votes, but you have to start contributing in some way to the platform.

If you do not like the specific topics of Steemit and you like, for example, cooking, then try to make your posts educational and can teach others. Or, if art and photography appeal to you, make posts that lead by example, citing photo sources and using a good Markdown, for example.

To grow, it's important that you focus not only on yourself and what you want to say, but on how that can help other users and Steemit itself.

2- Leave the rest of your life and be in front of the computer 12 hours a day

When you like Steemit a lot and you become a fan of the platform, it's very easy for you to get to this point without even realizing it, until the day comes when you look around you and you realize that there are things basic that you are neglecting. For example:

  • You are not resting well and you haven't slept for 6 hours in a row for 1, 2 or 3 months (minus 7 or 8)
  • If you do the account, you spend more than 10 hours glued to the screen of the phone and/ or computer
  • You don't have a good diet
  • You've stopped doing physical activity
  • You are communicating less with your friends
  • You are neglecting your family

All these things, no matter how fanatical we are of Steemit and no matter how goodwill we have, lead us to explode sooner or later, be it due to some health situation (headaches, dizziness, burning eyes); because one day you realize that in 2 months a lot of things happened in your family but you couldn't really live them because you were immersed in the virtual world; because you really and simply need to sleep.

This leads us to one day, suddenly, we have to get away from Steemit because we didn't know how to find the right point previously.

3- Be on Steemit in a balanced way 😊⚡

In this case, you are a responsible person with your life and with Steemit. You love this ecosystem and you want to be truly part of it, contributing and staying active, and you want to do it for a long time, not just for two months. Then you have to start ordering and planning your days. Here are some tips that can help you:

For life and productivity:

  • 😴 Prioritize your rest: it's what will give you energy to work every day
  • ✨ Meditate for 10 minutes a day: this will increase your productivity because you'll take your mind away from the stresses of everyday life
  • 🍏 Eat well: foods low in fat and calories, but rich in nutrients, increase energy
  • 👪 Continue being a social being: your family is there today, by your side, and they deserve that you share time with them as you used to do before, the same with your friends

For Steemit

  • 📅 Plan your publications: in this way, you'll have some days "covered" since you'll ensure topics to share
  • 📋 Make a list of the tasks you have to do every day in Steemit
  • 💪 Try to be consistent with your presence on the platform
  • 🕒 Allocate a certain amount of hours to be on Steemit (4, 5, 6 hours, depending on your tasks and objectives for the day)

I came to this conclusion after being the one who spent between 10 and 12 hours on Steemit, doing different things. Did I enjoy it? Very much!! Would I like to continue spending 12 hours on Steemit? Yes!! But I realized that that wasn't going to be sustainable if I really wanted to be on the platform in a committed way for a long time.

Therefore, like everything in life, I discovered that it's a matter of finding a balance, that is what allows whatever you do to be sustainable over time.

I hope you liked this post and that it is useful to you!!

As always, thanks for reading dear friends!!

Have a beautiful Friday,

Belen

  • Casi no estar presente

1- Casi no estar presente

  • Has dejado de hacer actividad física
  • Te estas comunicando menos con tus amigos
  • Estás descuidando a tu familia

I'm a human, not a bot 😉

It is SO important! I do spend a lot of time here on reading, publishing or planning. I believe not "too much" yet, but your post is a good reminder that the border is very close and I can't ever allow myself to cross it. I'll skip diary game today and spend more time with my family.

Thank you for that post y... hasta mañana!

😊

Thank you very much @belenguerra for sharing very important directions, I will optimize my time on the Steemit platform even more, because I am also sure that being big starts from small things ...
