APPRECIATION POST: How has Steemit changed your life?

Hello Steemit buddies! This is April Marie, I am new to this platform and I have come across to this amazing community. I have been reading the Appreciation posts of my co-members here and I got really inspired to continue writing and sharing my stories. Today is a nice day to write my Appreciation Post and how Steemit has changed my life.

I have been feeling down lately, I feel so behind with the people around me. Sometimes I question myself, “What have I done?”, “What have I achieved?”, “What do I really want?”. There are a lot of questions in my mind, so many what if’s and what could have been’s. I’ve been in this crisis for too long, but where to vent out?

I am more of an introvert person, I am not really the type who open-up to someone, even to my friends, family, and colleagues. In my mind, they also have issues to deal with and problems to solve, and I don’t want to burden them with mine. Thus, I’m used to keeping my emotions and thoughts to myself.

Luckily, a friend of mine @jenesa has introduced me to Steemit. She said that this is a platform where you can freely write. She also added that there are a lot of communities that I could join to. True enough, I have found the perfect venue for me to let my emotions out. If I like the food I eat, the restaurant I visit to, or even how my day went, I will just log in to Steemit and narrate and write everything I want to share. Be it in foods, travels, photography, act of kindness, and many more. Steemit has a lot to offer.

I realized that writing here in Steemit has become my stress-reliever. This may sound cliché to you but writing here in Steemit feels like talking with a friend. Plus, the fact of adding pictures to every post has been so fun and at the same time nostalgic to me, it brings back the memories and all the emotions I felt. It is just so nice to finally found a place to open-up and share my stories without any doubts. And thanks to Steemit and to every Steemit communities for all the opportunities you have given to all the users around the world.

Steemit also helps me connect to people by reading their blogs and their stories. Steemit has helped me in so many ways, even financially. As I have said, I am just new to Steemit, and luckily, I got my first payout last week. I was really happy; it wasn’t that huge but the amount I got has helped me to buy a new laptop that I could use for my work at school. I added it to my savings, and so I am using my new laptop now while writing this post. I am so ecstatic!
