A Quiet Place: Part II (2021) Review
The world that surrounds us is made of immensity of living beings, all of them doing any action that no matter how minimal, it will generate noise, this also happens in our case, human beings generate noise when eating, bathing, when moving from a place to another and even sleeping, but what if suddenly we had to live in a world of danger where the main rule that we must follow if we do not want to die is not to make any noise at all?
A Quiet Place: Part II is the sequel to A Quiet Place released in 2018 which was directed by John Krasinski, this time the whole movie will focus on how the world became what it is now, a place where making the slightest noise could cost you life. Fun Fact: You might not know but John Krasinski is also one of the actors from the american version of The Office, a tv show I watched this year which I loved and also made a review of it here in Steemit.
The plot sticks to the idea that Earth has been invaded by hostile aliens, capable of detecting any way of noise in order to find their prey and kill them, this situation caused a decrease in the population while they tried adapt to the situation communicating with signs, writing and of course avoiding making any kind of noise. The plot follows the events of a family that seeks to escape from this horrible situation, generating great interference on the radio capable of causing so much noise at a general level in many places in order to stun these beings from other planets and eliminate them.
They say that an action speaks more than a thousand words and that is something that we can see in this film, the idea where there is almost no noise or conversation in a horror film is actually pretty amazing, since it seeks to convey feelings and emotions of the characters through their actions and in turn is able to give us a great story. It´s not like is the first time a horror movie handles the concept of no noise, I mean, there is Bird Box or even Don´t Breath which are actually somehow similar in what they try to show you, however, I think A Quiet Place: Part II is the best one on handling its concept.
In short words: Great movie, it really motivated me to watch the first one, so it's a matter of time before I watch it, I highly recommend it. If you want to watch something similar to A Quiet Place: Part II you can watch Don´t Breath which is actually pretty good and its sequel was released this year.
