Writing & Reviews: CONTEST: YOUR FAVORITE BOOK CHARACTER|| "Dante Alighieri"

A superb day to all readers and steemians!
We all have our favorite character from the book or from the story we read. It is great that this contest was brought up so everyone who loves reading could share a certain character they mostly love and expound ideas on how reading could lead us in travelling to many places.

I'd love to introduce my favorite book character/ story character, Dante Alighieri. He was actually the author of the narrative poem "Divine Comedy" or also known as ''Divina Commedia" in Italian. This narrative poem consists of 3 cantos: Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise.

I really admire how a certain author used his own name as the protagonist of his own story. I imagined him as man of strong determination in facing against struggles and failures in his life. Based from his experiences as a character, he dealth positively his worst experience and surpassed it.
His mystical adventure started when he found himself lost in the dark woods.

He was trying to regain his path when a poet named Virgil approached him. Virgil was actually sent by Beatrice , she was Dante's first love who died at the age of 9. Virgil offered Dante to accompany him in his journey to the 9circles of hell where sinners or murderers were tortured and punished. After their journey, they arrived at the Purgatory, and a blissful Paradise where Dante happily met Beatrice.
What I like in Dante's story is it taught me to become sensitive on the things we committed. We should weight properly on the positive and negative sides of life. Most of all, be courageous in facing battles of life.
