Hello beautiful souls of this community, I believe everyone is fine.Today it's another beautiful day for to take part in the steemit engagement challenge contest here in this community on the topic,All About my job. And I'm so glad that I will be sharing a piece About my job. But before then I want to draw back our attention on what job is.
Job is a position in which one is self-employed or employed by another person in other to work for a set of fee.Jobs do provides some opportunities for us as individuals to identify our strength and also to explore our potentials by interacting with people in other to pursue some shared goal. Most people work just to make life comfortable for them self by earning money, while some work not just for the money but for the passion they have in doing the job. I myself I have done several jobs but the current job I'm doing now is teaching job.
I'm a teacher and I love my job without any regrets, at first it was not easy at all but as I said when you have passion for something it will become part of you and you will enjoy doing it with less worries.
What are your daily tasks at your place of work or your daily activities?
My daily task at my working place as a teacher are numerous, because we teachers have so many responsibilities at the school in making sure that our students are doing well both academically and otherwise, below are some of the task I do at my working place.
- I always go to school as early as 7:30am every day except weekend. So I do wake up around 5:00am, do my chores, eat then prepare for work.
- Reaching the school, I will first sign the attendance. If I'm on duty then I will be incharge of organizing the students through Morning devotion and assembly.
- As a class teacher I will mark register of the students in other to keep track of those who in school and those who are not. And it is also my responsibility to call the parents of any students who did not make it to school in others to fine out the reason the student is not in school that day.
- The next task I do is to teach, first I will check the timetable so that I will know which class I'm supposed to teach. I always have three different period pay day to teach, and my class always last for just 45min.
- After my teaching, I will give the students classwork after which I will check their notes for that day and also mark their classwork. If there is any assignments being given to them I will also Mark it during this period.
- Sometime I do interact with my students, just to make them happy, and I always enjoy interacting with my students.
What is the biggest obstacle you have ever experienced while doing this activity?
While teaching jobs have many obstacles just like any other jobs in the world, for now I'm just new into the system so I haven't experienced alot of obstacles but some of the challenges I'm having while doing my activities are;
- Lack of effective communication with the students: The school is actually a community school so most of the students at the school can't speak English very well, the only language they understand most is their traditional language which I myself don't understand, so most often than know communicating with them when teaching is so hard and stressful for me as such I have to add extra time just to explain to them in such a way they will understand.
- Another obstacles I'm having is making the students script, this work always consumed my time because it is never scheduled during the teaching hours, so sometimes I stay back at school just to mark the script, or better still bring it home. It's time-consuming.
What is your greatest hope in the future related to your activities?
Teaching job is one of the greatest job in the world, because without it the world could have been in different dimensions. Being a teacher is not actually an easy job par say, but there is this joy when you share your knowledge with others. First of all for someone to be a teacher he or she most be passionate about the job, also most have a reason why he actually was to for the teaching job because teachers are responsible for shapping the students future, making them better people in the future.
A teacher always impart knowledge, good value, and also modern day challenge and some ways in which the challenge can be resolved between the students, so just imagine this life without teachers, the world will definitely be an empty place without many professions. So my hopes is that the government will value teachers and also pay them well for their job Weldon, because some the challenges most teachers are facing is lack of funds. The work load is much but they are being paid with less amount of money.

Actually I think that there should be love for work. And if the work can be started not for earning money but also for love, then it is much better to do that work. Teaching is an honorable profession, I respect teaching very much. I really respect your profession.
