"Contest Alert !!! || "The Capital City Of My Country Is (Abuja)".

Good evening my good people of Hot News Community. I'm so happy participating on this amazing contest organized by @abdullahw2.

It's a very interesting topic to think of and I'm so happy representing my country(Nigeria). I will be very happy if my brothers on @steem4nigeria can come out and represent our country .

Abuja is the my country's capital city. Abuja is located in the centre of Nigeria, within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Abuja is a planned city, and was created in the 1980s. It officially became Nigeria's capital on 12 December 1991, replacing Lagos.

The federal capital was moved from Lagos to Abuja because of its position on the Nigerian map. It's located in the centre of the nation, Abuja was seen as a neutral point for the diverse religious and ethnic groups that made up Nigeria. It was also seen as an accessible location to all Nigerians, regardless of their origin.

One of the main reasons why the federals capital was moved from Lagos to Abuja was that Lagos was too overpopulated and was mainly for economy and business purposes.

The following below are the three must visit attraction in my country federal capital (Abuja).

• Jabi Lake

Jabi Lake was created by an artificial earthen dam that was initially constructed to deliver water to Abuja,it covers about 1,300hectares.

Jabi lake is a popular recreational spot in Abuja. Which you can relax on the sandy shores, indulge in water sports, or take a boat ride to explore the lake. The lake was actually created by an artificial earthen dam that was initially constructed to deliver water to Abuja, Nigeria.

• Millennium Park

Millennium Park is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Abuja. It is located at 5, Usuma Street, Maitama, Abuja.As one of the city's premier parks. it provides a serene environment to enjoy walking trails, wildlife, and beautifully landscaped gardens .

Millennium Park was generated at the beginning of the millennium, and that was how it got the name. Millennium Park is the largest public park in Abuja,it has free entrance access.

• The Thought Pyramid Art Centre

Thought Pyramid Art Centre has a mission to collect, study and conserve modern art in Africa. ,it is among the chilling spots in Abuja you can choose from. It boasts a collection of the Nigeria contemporaries.

The Thought Pyramid Art Centre is located in the heart of Abuja, is a dynamic space dedicated to the celebration of contemporary African art and culture.If you have a sweet thought for African art, Thought Pyramid Art Center is a must-visit. It has a mission to collect, conserve, and study contemporary art works.

Apart from the calabar carnivals, Abuja Carnival is among the famous Nigeria carnivals and it's one of the most exhilarating Nigerian cultural jamborees that hold annually (mostly in November or December). It includes street parades, boat regattas and Nigerian States cultural competition.

If I'm to invite any of my steemit friend to Abuja,I would have really loved to invite @shiftitamanna and @patjewel , especially for STEEMIANS meetup and I would visiting Millennium Park with them to sit down and have fun and also get to each other more better.

It would have really been a good idea my two steemit friends coming to Abuja to explore more about Nigeria

I'm from Nigeria and I love the fact hat Abuja cause it's more conducive for our political views,and coming to reakised thst Abuja have places like Jabi lake, Millennium Park etc which can attracts foreigners into our country for adventure and explores.
