STEEMIT ENGAGEMENT CHALLENGE S5W6 - MY BESTIE

Hello to everyone in this community. It is indeed a wonderful day and I greet you all in oneness. We are here again to the final end of the season 5 engagement contest that has been scheduled by the steemit team to boost interaction between steemians, and we are currently in week 6.

Today, I will be participating in this community's engagement contest that has been brought forward by this community heads, which has been titled MY BESTIE.

A bestie can be seen as a friend that sticks to us almost closer than a brother or sister. To some point, we tell our besties things that we do not tell any other person. So I will be providing answers to certain questions below.

EXPLAIN TO US HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN ACQUAINTED?

I and my bestie have come a long way. Counting down to the years that we have known eachother, I would say it is more than 12 years. We attended the same primary school and secondary school.

Also we attend the same place of worship and as such, we have known each other for years now as though we grew up together in thesame neighborhood, in fact our house is very close to each other. So we see everyday.

WHEN DID THE ACQUAINTANCE BEGAN?

We started get acquainted with eachother when we started going to school together back then in high school. Her mother often come to drop her with my mum because she always goes to work early. So my mum do take I and she to school.

Whenever we return home, we do eat together just like brother and sister to the point we do wash our clothes together and whenever my mum asked me to run an errand for her, she always accompany me to go get whatever it was, I also do the same for her.

So we grew much older and also attended same college of education, and as such, we got so used to eachother and our families knows about the bond we share, for it was nothing more than that of best friends.

WHAT MAKES YOU BEING COMFORTABLE WITH THEM?

She has been my friend for as long as I can remember. We grew up together and eat eachothers meal but during and after school. Her mum took me as her own son and my mum too her like a daughter and as such, there was nothing to be afraid of.

We started as children and we grew up to know eachother so much. She always advices me whenever I am confused about a thing, I also teach her some stuffs about college and so that was how we were able to trust eachother and we became so close to the point we were almost inseparable.

Then we graduated from college, then we got admission into different schools. We thought that was the end of our closeness but it grew stronger. We call eachother often and check on eachother, we do visit eachother in our various respective schools too.

That was the extent our friendship became not until a day came that life has to take it place. She became of age and then suitors started coming, and so she could not resist any longer as though she also have to start her own family.

The suitor came and then the wedding plans started, although it was hard on me but I needed to accept the reality of life. So my bestie got married and I was called upon to do a speech for her on her wedding day.

Here I was with my friends in a lovely attire, celebrating the wedding of my bestie. Everything was successful, and guess what, we still communicate with eachother to date, she still advices me and make sure I do not miss my way. She care for me just like a sister, and that, I am so grateful of.

CONCLUSION

It was indeed lovely to have talked about my bestie. She is a wonderful blessing that have ever happened to me. I miss her so much although, but we still contact eachother though.
