The Diary Game III : 01/01/2023 - Football match between Married and Unmarried women

I welcome you all to my blog today. I will be sharing with you a very interesting event which is a football match organised by the local people here to celebrate the New Year.

The costume of the people here is to play football together as a sign of their love and happiness as a community. This football match is played once every year for men and women respectively. We started the game today with women I.e single ladies versus married women.

It was very fun because these women have not trained for almost a year now but all came out in mass to play the game. We saw a lot of funny things during the game as women carrying the ball with their hands without waiting for the referee's instructions. The images below are the images I took at the field during the game play.

They played for 30 minutes I.e 15 minutes for the first and second half respectively. The game ended in a draw as none of the teams scored a goal. The married women refuse to allow the unmarried women to defeat them as they had their husbands cheering them up.

Since the game ended in a draw, they decided to play a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner. During the penalty, the unmarried ladies defeated the married one scoring 4 goals at the penalty kick whereas the married women only scored 3.

This was the first for the day and tomorrow I will be reporting on the game between the married men and the unmarried men. I guess this will be very fun too because the married men at the moment are making serious preparation and they have even promised not to allow the unmarried men to disgrace them like the way their wives were disgraced.
